I was coming home from a trip to Salt Lake City back in August and I passed him going southbound on I-15 about 50 miles north of Cedar City, UT. I wanted to roll some video of his truck, but I didn't think of it soon enough and he was going pretty slow too, so I would've plugged up the Interstate if I had.
tandem axle gross axle weight 34,000lbs...spread axle 40,000...20,000 per axle.,unless the d.o.t changed it..i pulled spread axle for a cpl yrs or so and that's what the weight limit was.
@buckshotztothehead That's right, those are some mad skills, son! I like how you noticed that I can park that truck and video myself from 30 feet outside that same truck at the same time and then post it for turds like you to enjoy. When you need to park your Prius, just come back and study this video to see how it's done, son!
Nice vid. What's the point for spreading axles on trailers? For looks or to reduce pressure on frame of truck? Since u still can't carry more than the limit
@SovietPB I think the main reason for spreading axles is to spread the weight out over a longer area. Like when crossing bridges, the weight is distributed over more of the bridge and not concentrated in a smaller area.
@reedbrad2009 The air and electric lines are there. They're just kind of hidden for a clean custom appearance. Look at the end of the trucks frame and in front of the trailers landing gear. This trailer still has it's air/elec. connections on it's front wall, but some have been customized to run only the underside connections.
awesome green paint on this truck. kenworthseventy didnt notice the "spotters" volunteered. sounds like something a a guy would say cause he drives a piece of shit. Guess what, I never went to school...........
@kenworthseventy Why act as if it was a shame for you to ask for a spotter to help. I pull a step w/ spread and a stretched WS (288 wb) so I know about tight spots. I've had to ask a couple times at the t/s when I've been tired at night. The day you hit something will be the day you wish you would have asked for a little help.
People need to realize that spotting doesnt envolve parking the truck! Spotters are their to put eyes on a blind spot and tell you if you have clearance. PERIOD.
@ChatroomCreeper Yeah, and those are the very things that make this truck so cool, in my opinion. I truly admire the skill it takes to park these trucks.
@abikerinpa For sure bro, I'll post as many videos of this stuff that I can get! Unfortunately they don't have truck shows like this here in central Arizona, so I have to drive 400 miles to SoCal to get the goods! I got a pretty good chunk of videos from this show and I've posted them all, so check 'em out and thanks for the support.
thats one sick rig!

sweet looking truck but that thing has got to be a major pain in the back sides to drive and back up

Seems to me that truck would be easier to park if they cut 4 feet of frame rail out!

@SovietPB In canada you can haul more weight if the axles are spred a certain length
marcan18 3 months ago
@SovietPB spread axle is so u can haul more over those axles and not on the drives or front axle....get with the program!!
