  • A Remake of the SNES-Version combined with a Soundtrack from O.C.Remix,

    would have kicked shell!

this kinda suck because its loss of bebop, rocksteady and the technodrome (that elevator part was turtles epic)

  • this fucken reshelled version is shit! it's better on the snes and WAY better on arcade for those who remember playing it @ chuck e. cheese. other than that, fuck this version!

  • this reshell version is OK but was it really necessary to make it this corny? :(

75% of teenagers dont like corny stuff like this.

  • why is there a mudman in prehistoric map? isnt the turtlesaurus supposed to appear?

  • @sethecx In the snes, its turtlesaurus. IN the arcade its the mudman

  • hmm, i think it's okay.

however, i liked the controls better, the style of graphics, and some of the music too was better on the snes version. Which pretty much means everything was better on the snes version xD

sorry, i just think the snes version was more impressive for its time, the new version dosen't give me that same feeling, that's all :)

ok game, but not that much addicting :)

  • love moviev

  • To all you guys complaining about how the graphics or music isn't the same as the original TNMT in Time. Here's something to think about, did any of you have a problem with the live action Spiderman movies when he shot webs from his body instead of the "actual" web shooters. No, of course not because you didn't care, even though the web shooters SHOULD'VE been used in the movie. So why make a big stink about this games music or graphics. Deal with it !

  • Not that i have regret it that i have purchase this awesome remaster of the arcade, but it would be nice if they were put inside the original grafics to select as well and the extra bosses that were available on the snes version! i know that i may ask to much of a game but i think that this was easy to make. Now the badest thing about that game for me was the music, they have buchered the entire awesomness of the original music by puting some new one,i would prefer always the older one!

  • only thing i can say that this game is rape

  • lol 99 lives:P

    i miss tmnt :(

  • shit game, snes version superior

  • @athropos thats just a fanboys opinion. but in reality, this is obviously better. i mean, how could it not be?

  • @MrSatansLawyer Does better graphics automatically means a "better" game for you? Because this game is very dumbed down/easier than the original. The music was also changed for the worse. Might be nostalgia speaking but I'm not a fan of this.

  • @athropos Have you even played Re-Shelled?

It's exactly the same as the original ARCADE except for the graphics and audio. It is, however, drastically different from the SNES version. This Re-Shelled game also has 4 difficulty modes from "Easy/Beginner" to "Hardcore", so unless you can clear Hardcore without loosing any health or continues then the game is not "easier/dumbed down" Dont like the music? Turn down the music volume in the options menu and play your own soundtrack.

  • @athropos And the game has online or offline 4P Co-Op in the Story, Survival and Quickplay modes which is very nice also. I am not saying this is the best game at all but this game is still considerably and plays like the ORIGINAL (aka ARCADE). Arcade machines were designed to eat your coins so players had to develop badass playing methods to get high scores and save coins. That being said, this game is far from an easy pick-up-and-go title you play out of boredom to pass the time.

  • @athropos i agree. even the Arcade is shit vs the SNES version. now if they would have re-released both the SNES and Arcade version with updated FRAME RATE i would have loved it!

  • @SatansMullet it would never happen since Nintendo owns the rights to that particular SNES exclusive of Turtles in Time and this was released for Xbox 360.

Maybe on the Wii but then the Nintendo crowd couldn't play the original Arcade or Re-Shelled

  • the camera angle is too high for my liking.

  • this game fucking sucked!!! download the demo and u will know what i am saying.not worth 10 bucks

  • It doesn't look as good as i thought it would be, but I would still play it :P

  • I really hope that was joke

  • this game have trophies????

  • looks childish

  • i still have AND play sometimes my snes version of this game. its still awesome.

  • agreed, after playing the SNES version so much it almost seems like a downgrade playing the arcade or PSN remake. more levels and better bosses. Really cement man instead of slash? I don't even remember cement man in the original cartoon that was out when these games came out.

  • wiiware should have had this game. Not only because it was for snes, it was awesome!

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT! This rock! This is EXACTLY what needs to be done for Street of Rage and ESPECIALLY Streets of Rage 2. Niiiiice move with this one.

  • Sengoku 3 is another game which needs a revamp like that!

  • when is this game coming out for PS3 on ign it says augest when it is the 20th today 28 is the last psn store update for augest

  • sucky ass trash remake....its sad really...were in the year 09 and one of our best gaming companies cant top an old arcade game -___-

  • WANT FOR 360.

the TMNT game after the movie blew.

  • Come check out our review of this game on our channel. With full level by level comparison to the original arcade!

  • who decided to take away the turtles eyes???

  • Its how they looked in the comics

  • in this game i hate it when krang sounded like shit

  • wtf, where's the Technodrome?

    "Let's kick shell!"

  • I played the game today., and I will admit I was one of those doubters like many of you who have commented in the past. But I have to say Ubisoft won me over. I am not the biggest fan of the voice acting myself, but the gameplay is pretty fluid and the enemies are harder to beat than what I anticipated. The original arcade version still seems tougher to me, but overall I think if you liked the arcade game, you will like the remake.

  • the graphics are cool but i dont know .... mmm, the voices and the stages music m dont like me and the enemies design too ! wheres the hat on leatherhead?this is a turtles in time remake or a new teenage mutant ninja turtles show? oh fuck!!!!

  • Why in the fuck did they put the shitty SNES music in an arcade port of the game?

  • Haha, someone doesnt know good music when they hear it.

  • Well it turns out it's neither way. I just played the trial and they don't even have the original music in the game... it's just some generic garbage.

  • The SNES soundtracks great.

  • 1:39

Did Cement man just heal HP!? 0_o

  • wow i cant wait for this game its like castle crashers but super HD with TMNT!

  • How the fuck could they not had added analog stick controls?! Did they even try them out? The D-Pad isn't the best on the 360 controller.

  • No new moves means I have no reason to play this over what's already on my emulator. Honestly, if you're going to remake a game, do some things better. Give it some new combos, some new specials. Giving it nothing more than a graphics update is not going to impress anyone.

Why bother with this when games like Castle Crashers have been available and are just as mindlessly fun, yet offer a more robust world?

They through game design out the window on this one.

  • Man I can't wait for this <33 Im nostalgiaing all over the place right now

  • u gotta wonder wat they have to pay the foot soldiers to go back in time

  • It's a shame about the price...

  • Do you think its too expensive? I have not bought my system yet and am unsure of what to expect with price ranges of games for downloads.

  • If its anything like the original, it's overpriced, since the game takes like 3 hours to complete with a friend. For 1200 points I think it's too much.

  • Comment removed

  • uh, the game is 800 points now..

  • yea i know it is

    good thing too

for 800ms they are going to see alot

  • I agree. It's almost a direct port of a SNES game, they didn't even add analog controls. For $4.99 maybe, but 15 bucks? Pfft.

  • really they had 4-player co-op over the internet for the SNES

ohh and my friend bought Turtles in Time for his "Retro collection"

guess what it cost him $15

  • ZSNES. $0.

  • Ubisoft changed the price to $9.99 now they confrimed it

  • When is this game coming out?

  • but TMNT III - The Manhatten Project for the NES was better. it had more levels, and more creativity.

  • PREHISTORIC TURTLESAURUS

  • i wonder if that highway stage is there or was that SNES exclusive...

  • Not an exclusive, but in my opinion SNES version did indeed have a few different things in comparison to the arcade that were better.

    - Rat King as the Sewer-boss

    - First Technodrome-level (+ elevator) with Tokka & Rahzar together as mid-bosses, Shredder in a "tank" as the level boss

    - Slash in prehistory

    - Bepop & Rocksteady at the pirate ship

    - Super Shredder (final boss), although he was comparatively too easy.

I also think that the soundtrack is slightly more ballsy on SNES. :P

  • ey men is this download only on xbox live or you buy it as CD?!?

  • It's an X-Box Live Arcade game, so it's going to be downloadable.

It's possible that the game might be on some future compilation DVD with other games, though I think that to be extremely unlikely... Unless there will be more classic Konami-developed/published games coming up.

  • uhhh, no duh u cant revert the graphics back to the original! Because the original turtles in time is already out for xbox live arcade. Ahhduuuuur!

  • Wait a sec.... there's no Technodrome level or Super Shredder from the SNES version? That sucks! Super Shredder was my favourite boss!

  • dude they have not shown the whole game they might be in the game who knows.

  • No. If you look at the bosses, you can see that this is clearly based on the arcade version instead of the SNES release. Shredder sends you back in time at the end of the Technodrome level on the SNES, but here he sends you back in time in the sewers like in the arcade. And we DID see that Shredder is the final boss for this game.

  • 00:41 looks like Super Shredder.

  • No, it's regular Shredder. Super Shredder never fought with a sword.

  • You're right it is regular Shredder. Regular Shredder has that Purple skirt. Super Shredder has a Silver Belt. Although, that is exact looking area where you fight Super Shredder on the original.

My guess is that you fight regular shredder first, then he tosses his sword aside and goes Super Shredder for the real final boss..

  • Dude, NO! For the last time, THERE IS NO SUPER SHREDDER IN THIS GAME! This is based on the ARCADE VERSION! After you defeat Shredder, he falls off the edge of the balcony. I've PLAYED the damn game!

  • Wow, seriously... chill out it's just a game. I never played the Arcade version, only the snes version. I assumed they were the same game.

We're just discussing a game, no need to GET ALL SERIUZZZ LULULUL.

  • Aww, why does Krang look like that?

  • sooo when will the ps3 date will be announces

MvsC2 and this one are really getting on my nerves

    always getting delayed

  • ive got ps3 and xbox 360 and i will get it for both.

  • lol... i'm loyal to the PS3 as well, but speak for yourself. This shit is grassroots, and thanks to game updates this game will be on the PS3! =)

  • Wow, I think that your taking video games just a little to far. Get a life man.

  • Oh the irony. idiot.

  • idiot? just because Im looking at a fucking game on the internet, doesn't mean I have no life. Do you think I go around saying things like "you PS3 Fags"? no. I don't. you think your big by calling somebody a fag over what fucking video game console they own? You my friend, are they idiot.

  • I'm "they idiot"? Lol. Raging much?

  • Wow man, all you can do is call me on a spelling mistake? your still THEY idiot. Just in case you're wondering, yes I ment to type they that time.

  • Did you mean to type you're "your"? Lol.

  • man i remember the old times when i play the old version of this game when i was little kid. But that game look awesome

  • I LOVED this game as a kid! Good ol' Chucky Cheeses. :D I once found a snes game and thought it was like it, so I wanted to buy it! Too bad I didn't. :( And in the FUTURE I found out it WAS the same game. D: (A little different, but the same game overall.) I can't wait until this comes out! :D

  • @GrandBurrito im with you!

  • awesome DUDE hehe

  • DAMN

i dont play video games anymore but turtles in time was def one game i loved playin...

guess i gotta buy me a xbox

  • God, you gave me a great laugh there. Seriously GTFO.

  • you = random shit spewer

seriously what good did that comment do to this video, you might have just started another fanboy war

  • The ps3's ok. And i dont even like ps3, but i know its good. theres no denying it.

    :D

  • good maan, i think the same about xbox, this is peace right here!

  • OMG I can't wait for this

  • the music is from hyper stone heist, cool dude!

  • cool! definently the reason y i want the ps3 and finda get that tmnt smash up 2

  • i want the xmen game

  • yeah, they really need to port that game to a home consol don't they. I havn't played that game in years. another good arcade game was the Battletoads one.

  • i remember playing that game when i was little....yea, good times

  • looks cool, but i think im gonna get the brawler on the wii

  • The wii brawlwe doesn't even have any of the original charachters though, it's totally based on the new series, which is far more inferior compared to the old school series and charachters.

  • so that makes it a bad game? no really, and its being made by the same guys who did brawl so you know its gonna be kickass :p but who knows, im more into fighting games than arcade, but thats just me

  • Yeah, I don't care for fighting games to tell you the truth. I mean, Smash Bros. was great, which is like the same style as the TMNT brawler, but... Something about it just doesn't sit right. I think Street Fighter 4 is a good fighting game, but even it gets boring after a few rounds, all fighting games are.

  • how tmnt games should be.

  • NO!

  • I was really hyped up for this game, but now I'm not so sure. It kinda sucks that it's a remake based on the arcade rather then the SNES version. The SNES version was far more superior, with the best level being the technodrome. Not to mention, why have a no-name mud man charachter as a boss? They should have stuck with slash.

  • Technodrome wasn't better than Sewer Surfin SNES or Arcade.

  • I personally would have preferred a fight with both Slash and Cement Man and given Cement Man far more attacks, too. Why can he not take some pages from Clayface, i.e., make a spiked fist to hit you, a ball and chain, or a giant mallet or hammer or roll around on the ground like a giant spiked ball, EffnDan?

  • lol lets kick some shell

  • i hope ths comes ou on psn as well.. ? =) i def gonna buy it..

  • it is he said its coming out on PS3 eventually i think sometime this fall also if your lookin for someone to play online with my PSN ID is on my channel

  • was a hard game I never could beat back in the day when I was a little kid. lol

  • 1200 MS!??! what happened to the good ol 800!!?? all the games are 1200 now....jesus christ

  • now the just need the snes version on wii shop chanell

  • how the f**k you steal the statue of liberty DAMN

  • If your as badass as shredder, it's an everday thing.

  • lol yeah hes pretty bad, hes awesome

  • nothing beats the snes version!

  • Absolutely can't wait for this one! You can expect a review from me on this gem!

  • 0.o

  • its a bit of a mess

It seems like the kind of game where you would be pushing random buttons to fight.....

  • it's supposed to. it's a button-mashing beat 'em up.

  • you obviously are a new generation gamer and are not familiar with the most popular genre of the 90's.

It's called "Beat em Ups" There were many games like this where you just go and smash buttons to beat up hundreds of enemies to progress. This was one of the great ones which is why it's getting a remake. This game is going to be awesome.

  • This version looks great, but Turtles in Time on Snes will always be my fav

  • looks awesome

  • Cuz Devs are gay. I would buy this on wii in an instant!

Oh well I'm getting it on XBLA anyway!

  • and your mom cant handle douchebags like you.

  • I can't freaking wait for Shadow Complex

  • PIZZA TIME!

  • because it's an xbox 360 arcade exclusive

  • timed exclusive

  • Yeah!!! Turtles in time is sick!!!Can't wait for this!!!

  • eventually on the psn

    ...wat shit heads

  • re-vamp final fight!

  • Looks awesome. I remember spending tons of quarters on this nostalgia gem. Looks like they used the arcade version instead of the SNES version.

  • ooohh sure! NOW it's all positive feedback. i bet you ANYTHING if this were coming out on wii or wiiware everybody would bad-mouth the graphics and BS like that. i bet i bet i bet!

  • Growing up with the Turtles I obivously like the old school animated Turtles better but as long as the gameplay is still the same I don't care too much about that. I'm sure the some levels will looking stunning. But I do still have the old Turtles in Time for SNES so that's one reason I don't mind the makeover, I'll be able to play both versions even though I realise that it's a luxury not everybody will have.

  • A:This looks awesome.

B:I hope they give many old SNES games this upgradeing treatment.

C:They need to bring back this kind of gaming :)

    Good Preview!

  • ugh the early 90's graphics for this game looked better. just because something's in "3D" doesn't mean it's better.

  • I just hope the music stays the same!

  • yeah the music is suppose to be the same as the arcade version..no remixes!

  • they should remake it for all systems, adding WiiWare, DSiWare, PSP, Playstation 2, and etc!

  • looks awesome, but the turtle designs are from the gay CGI film. They should not have messed with the graphics.

  • WOW when i was a kid i loved this game and now its comin wit better and enhanced graphics, this is gona b kickass :)

  • OMG, I love this game. I think I still have my SNES version floating around somewhere. I just have to dust that old thing and give this game another go around.

  • This makes me horny

  • Ok... now THAT's a game worth my money. So nostalgic... Didn't play it on the arcade, only on SNES, but it was still fun as hell and I miss those good old days. Can't wait for it!

  • why not create a all new game? is a waste of time..., if you actually wanna play this game go and get the rom, and for me the original cartoon style is better. Is a shame, like the new monkey island.... those lazy producers...

  • Have you seen the other TMNT game coming out? That shitty Smash Bros rip off? Developers suck ass at making new games from that franchise for some reason.

I would much rather have a new version of Turtles in Time to play online with friends.

  • hi, the new game? no, i didn't know, ... and yeah yeah don't get me wrong, play this game online will be a blast, but is the saaame gaaame..., its so hard to create a brand new one-old school brawler?, i don't think so, i repeat they are so lazy. Could you imagine a all new tmnt old school game cartoon style with the amenities of today and well produced... a winner man. I understand the people, is excited and is ok, but for me the glass is half empty.

  • Dumbass.

  • everyone is entitled to be stupid, you are abusing the privilege.

  • That game actually looks really good, plus I heard that the graphics are supposed to be better than Brawl's.

  • Um, it is not s SSB rip-off if many of the people that were responsible for the SSB games are also making that game as well, KOICrowz.

  • I don't care if some of the same people are making it, it still looks like a terrible SSBB ripoff.

  • hopefully the later release on the psn will be the better version with improvements

  • ...and by improvements a level that is a blend of the SNES/Super Famicom and arcade/PS2/XBox versions of the Neon Night Riders stage, a fight with both Slash and Cement Man, the Technodrome level with Tokka and Razhar, Rocksteady and Bebop being on the Pirate stage, and the Rat King and regular Shredder fights. The regular Shredder fight would be done in three stages and the Super Shredder fight would be done in four stages. More on this later.

  • bad. ass.

  • I really don't understand why they just don't release it for both PSN and 360 at the same time.

  • I dunno maybe doing it on xbox live is faster and they decided to go ahead to let the 360 gamers get it first?

  • nah. both XBL and PSN perform at the same rates of speed. Its probably more money (since microsoft always blows out their wallets on new games to make them come out first on their system, which is really cool but im Sensing something might happen to them in the future... Hopefully Im wrong).

  • hopefully

  • diddo...

  • Looks good =)

  • im soo getting this game looks dirtyy

  • When is it coming out on the PSN?

  • This game proved to everyone that 4 player co-op games was teh shitz back in the day.
