Japanese I-mode: mobile Internet service: This service mean that service offer a "service " to the phone. That is right?? I just make sure I get right concept!
@ferquo The site now just runs on a generic Linux hosting plan with GoDaddy... When I run my own webservers I stick with Ubuntu and Apache for the server.
your .com will have thousands n thousands n thousands of hits.....its all because of the immense amount of knowledge you have....and an immensely big heart to share it with us.....thanks a lot man.....you rock.....
Eli...the more I watch your videos, the bigger you get on to me..probably the best tutor i have ever come across ...thanks a lot ..thanks a ton...this is tremendously helpful...
This was a well planned and well executed server class, particularly for the audience you are targeting (noobies like myself) and a good refresher for those who have been out of the loop for a while. Good stuff sir
haven't watched even one video yet but I know the subscription will be well worth it. you're my only subscription. i don't follow people but this is useful stuff.
Awesome!! I found it very useful as u gave information about the vendors as well.. Method of teaching is very good and i would love to see all of your videos so keep uploading... :)
really great ,thanks bro , for all ur videos ,i really apreciate that ,plz can u tell me ur website or ur company website, anytime u mention it inside ur video ,i didnt get it right ,is it (eliitman.com)
I've been listening to your videos (in the background) for the past 3 1/2 hours and I've already learned a lot. I really appreciate your videos and I hope you'll do more. You're right....I was just telling my instructor earlier how I'm about to graduate and all I know are theories and visual stuff (pretty much) but not the hands-on stuff (this is in response to your video I "watched" earlier). Your videos help me understand the things I don't get to learn in class - the practical stuff. Thanks!!
i understood the concept but had a doubt regarding remote access servers.
you said that we can use VPN to access remote printers but why do we use that when we know that if printers are on network then they must have an IP address and it must be connected to a router. so i can just send the print command to the printer to it's IP address and router will redirect that request to printer and then printer would print it. am i wrong?
@tajiknomi : It is called branding. They make it look "exclusively theirs" for standing out. Moreover, companies & organizations have a lot of business critical & confidential mails, like the hiring & promotions agenda, financial planning document, etc. They wouldn't like others to have access to it.
WOW!!!. Great great tutorial. You taught with the idea that we knew absolutely nothing about servers( which in my case is true). Thanks for teaching in the most plain and simple of terms. Now, i can go on and do my coursework......... :)
@beckyrella I try to remember what it was like when all this stuff was new, and things like Active Directory seemed like impressive concepts... just keep learning and reading as much as you can. For me I've found I'll spend weeks banging my head on a problem, and then a blog post or sentence will make every other fact I've learned make sense...
I really like you're teaching method, well you're approch. I plan on watching all of you're vids. I'm sitting my degree in Windows Domain/Network/ Linux administration which web design programming comp science physical layer OSI model stuff, I've been doing it for years now, this class didn't really "teach" me anything new but I watched it anyway. Would you ever consider doing some Network Design tutorials or Computer Architecture in the more advanced stages if that's something you were into?
@evolagenda I'll be doing more of the practical theory classes shortly. I just reopened my computer shop last month so I've been busy getting that running smoothly, and haven't had time to do new classes.
Great video. Like to maybe see some visual aids to better explain the concepts of certain parts but overall nice. I am new to the server world and working on my MCITP.
Say I want a web/FTP server that also is a file server. Should each function be on a separate drive partition?

@tajiknomi Some companies do not want to rely on 3rd party providers. Security and specific needs could be of great issue.
