thank you for posting this song,I love it I love it !!!,I've asked for this song a million times and no one has been able to find it. I am obviously from Ohio,a lot of people from othe states, have never heard of the Ponderosa Twins, thank god for the internet.
Hey Ctownrock, I agree with you 100% because I am from the same area, down on 43rd and Quincy. There were some really good street corner groups that were from that area. Boy, that brings back some good memories. CLEVELAND, OHIO reppin!
I picked up two singles of theirs last week hey girl and bound for next to nothing been looking at em for weeks great harmonics. Money well spent. WHat the ydoin now?
This group was from out of the projects down the street from where i lived centered around East 55th.
This area was a fertile ground for many, many groups that COULD have made it IF there was a visionary Like Berry Gordy to produce them: The Hesitations, True Movement, The Imperial Wonders, and many more.
You would walk thru the projects and by every other street light was a group--and good too!!
I notice that you mentioned Indianapols. That is where I am from. If you remember this song, Maybe you might remember a group from here called Tony Black Revolutionary Compare to What, they had a song called " Huh" it came out about, maybe 1972,I wish someone had that song and posted it on YouTube
Yes I do remember that group. I also love "Go To Work". people can relate to that song,I know I can because there was PLENTY of days that alarm clock went off and I didn't want to get up to go to the j-o-b! lol. Those guys made some nice tunes. they were on the Lamp label,I need to post that as a matter of fact. It's surprising that no one has put it up on here yet. By the was I was born and raised just north of you in Chicago. I'll try to get those Tony Black tunes up soon-stay tuned!!
Thank you so much! I forgot about the flip side of that record. I am so excited, I haven't heard that song Huh in so long, I know my sister still has it on a 45 but who really still has a record player? I will let let her know too that you will try to get those on. Again, thanks for replying back,
i got 7 record players in my room i take this stuff very serious--check out my site i got 51 beautiful old fashion brother man tunes but due to copyright laws i got 49 tunes for all the Sweet Soul YOUTUBERS check it out
