  • Ymmärrän kannan mut mä esitän faktoja. Sm-liiga joukkueet on voittanu lähes poikkeuksetta Ruotsin kovimmat joukkueet 10 vuoden ajan. Liiga koostuu joukkueista joten luulis et Sm-liiga olis kovempi liiga. Mut emmä täs ruotsalaisii mollaamas oo kuhan ihmettelen tämmöst sokeutta tilastoille.

  • @alliswow no mutta tolla logiikalla itävallan liigakin on suomen liigaa parempi koska red bull salzburg voitti european trophyn finaalissa jokerit.

  • @Sephirot1994 Lainapelaajilla joista jotkut oli Sm-Liigasta. Mut jos otetaa aikasemmat European Trophyt ni Sm-Liigan joukkueet on jatkuvasti voittanu Ruotsin parhaimman joukkueen. CHL peleissä ja viimesen 10vuoden aikana European Trophyssa.

  • The NHL is seams to be getting cold feet with drafting Russian players for fear of them going to the KHL.

  • Paajarvi is struggling so far this year, but Paajarvi is the kind of player that will win Selke awards

  • You dont leave your Dad hangin!

  • Lol, Pierre was freakin (HEY OILERS DON'T RUSH HIM) Here he is in the NHL at 19, and doing pretty darn good! I love Paajarvi-Gagner-Omark line.

  • peter forsberg himself said hes gonna be the next big thing from sweden

  • His dad tried to high five him but Magnus hugged him instead :D

  • why the fuck is daryl katz son always up there

  • high five DENIED!!!!

  • hah i liked how his dad tried to give him a high five

  • has a gay face

  • @MrJackMeOffski how does one have a gay face? but you must know from experience mr. gayface. or are you a flamer fan

  • @jimiot Yes...He looks like a Fagget who sucks cock and takes it in the Butt. Kind of like the things your father does behind your Moms back. You Dad had dirty gay caca ass sex with some stranger, came home and fucked you Mom the day you where conceived.

  • @MrJackMeOffski suuuuuuure buddy whatever you say have fun in grade 7 on monday

  • He's much better than hall and taveres :O

  • @jonsjans WTF are you smoking

  • MPS is such a good player...I was soooo shocked and happy oilers got him! GO OILERS GO!

  • First preseason game today - Paajarvi scored 3 goals and an assist amid all the Taylor Hall hype. Hall scored once as well, but Paajarvi was dominant. Can't wait for the season to start. Heck, I can't wait for his next preseason game.

    Go Paajarvi!

  • I truly believe that Pääjärvi will succeed in the NHL, I hope he is true loyal player to the national team, not as the rest of the swedish stars who blames it all on''injuries'' every world championship. Sweden needs more stars in the world championships.

  • I think he's so called "suomenruotsalainen", I don't know how it should be translated, but it means like a person who's other parent is Swedish who have moved to Finland and the other is just Finnish... :D See, Pääjärvi means "main-lake" in Finnish.

Btw he is so cute that I could eat him<3

  • I've seen some great HQ vids with Magnus at

    videoclip18. com

  • wtf 3 points in 35 games fuck the oilers :S GO LEAFS GO !

  • @manbir26 don't forget we have a 1draft picks the talk in TO would have been taylor or tyler but it's in boston

  • i wonder if hel be in the lineup next year hes got a ton of potential hopefully he can translate his game to the nhl lineup

  • He doesnt seem to like his dad much hahaha

  • With guys like Hemsky, Penner, Gagner, Brule and Cogliano all ready in the Oilers line up and guys like MPS, Eberle, Hall or Seguin coming up, the Oilers wont be bad for that long. Im not ready to say MPS is the next Forsberg, thats to much pressure, but I hope he is good.

    Go Oilers!!

  • @creburke cogliano did terrible this year

  • @mikelacoste76 Yeah he did, but after scoring 18 goals in his first 2 seasons and with the speed he has, if he is put in the right situation I could see him scoring 20 - 25 goals and 50 points. I hope they don't give up on him, and I see him having a much better year in 2010-11.

  • This kid will be the OILERS 40-50 goal scorer and 90-100 point producer along with Sam Gagner. This kid is the next Peter Forsberg, IMO

  • @3kkkwaaz

Not really a fluke, look at the moves made towards the trade deadline - they had a pretty good line up and if they had that line up all year they would have finished MUCH higher then 8th over all.

You can call it a fluke but they also beat great teams like Detroit, San Jose, Anaheim.

  • @OilersSniper17 no way... 35 goals 70-75 pts max

  • @DallasH717 clearly, you haven't seen him play and the potential he has. He was dominant at the World Juniors w/ 10pts in 6gms. In the SEL this past season, he almost doubled his goals, assists and point totals in 1 less game. It shows you the kind of potential he has and the potential he will have in the NHL. Many have compared him to the likes of Peter Forsberg, Mats Sundin and Markus Naslund.

  • @OilersSniper17 You're an idiot, do you have any idea how rare 50 goal scorers 100 point players are? DallasH is 100% right maybe a PPG player. And I LOVE MPS.

  • @OvechkinCCM Clearly you're the idiot. you obviously haven't seen him play and i can tell that you don't watch hockey. yes, there are rare 50 goal scorers but there are lots of 100 point players. Im not sayin hes gonna be a regular 50 goal scorer. but he has the potential to reach it.

  • @OilersSniper17 u wish

  • @OilersSniper17 yeah agreed... stable on the puck, sniper-shot, breaking the net from the wing... ooh i just had some nice shivers :D

  • @Kerec Thank you! finally someone understands. This guy was a beast against Tampa Bay in the pre-season. 3 G, 1 A

  • @OilersSniper17 No he's not like Peter Forsberg, his playing style is more like Maxim Afinogenov, watch Max first then Paajarvi, they are almost the same :D

    Go Oilers!

    Go Timrå!

  • @OilersSniper17 not even close, maybe a 30 goal scorer

  • how do the teams already have the jerseys made?

  • They make it like 5 minutes before they draft them

  • Comment removed

  • teams generally have name tags of players that should be available to them. Then they just slap on that name tag on a nameless jersey.

    habs suck

  • @kevick19

thanks for the help i was dying to know : )

    And I agree

  • yeah, let do a highfive insted of shaking hands like regular people;)

  • Comment removed

  • The high five thing was hilarious.

  • lol high five.... *shakes head*

  • The reason he didn't High 5 his dad is because in Sweden there way of responding back of something like that is the head bob.

Im kind of confused as to why there was a big "ooooh" out of no where after he was walking off the stage...

  • please do some research first. he played in the swedish elite league playing against men, with limited ice time. point totals mean so little when you have no clue how to use them. go look at his world juniors stats, 7 points in 6 games, as the youngest player ever to play for team sweden at the world juniors.

  • easy big guy...

  • not only that, the SEL is a low scoring league

  • @tiptopluongo Well theres some things i dont understand when it comes to picks. Like Toni Rajala, he was amazing in the under 18 WC breaking Overchkins record for points and when he played in WHL he did over a point per game in Wheat Kings. He got drafted in 4th round?

  • @tiptopluongo Yep thatsright. Although the level of swedish elite leagueisnt nearly as high as like Finnish elite league and KHL. So i dont knowwhy theresso many players picked from there.

  • @alliswow you can't be serious when you say that the level of elitserien is lower than sm-liiga? please get your facts straight you dumb fuck.

  • @Sephirot1994 Haha youre the dumb fuck here. Teams from Sm-liiga always wins Elitseriens best teams and finnish players that go to Elitserien are top players in the league. Idiot.

  • @Sephirot1994 No tiiän kuule lätkästä sen verran et tiiän mistä puhun kyllä. Oon syntyn Suomes mut asun Bostonis, joten en kato asiaa jotenki sinivalkosin lasein. Sehän on vaa fakta et Sm-Liigan parhaat joukkuuet voittaa joka kerta Ruotsin parhaat joukkueet European Trophyssa ja Champions Hockey Leaguessaki voitti. Ni vaikee väittää et Ruotsin liiga ois parempi jos mun mielest yksinkertaisesti Sm-liigas on paremmat joukkueet. Basic 101.

  • The dude's got a fuckload of potential. Not many players in NHL history have accomplished this much so young.

  • @timmmy99 I love retards that just look at points stats, nothing else.

  • HI FIVE!!! lol at his dad

  • I thought the Stars or the Sens are gonna pick him good thing he slid to us.

  • i really thought the oilers needed to trade up to get this guy...hahah well played

  • Great pick for the Oilers fits their team with his speed, he should have been gone in the top 6-7.

  • only 10th? They said he could go as number 4. Anyways. GREAT talent. He reminds me alot of Forsberg. If he can get a little bit bigger, and practice his shot. I think this guy has the most potential of all the guys.

  • i honestly couldnt believe edmoton got svenny at 10. give him a year, 2 at most in sweden and when he comes to the NHL hes going to be a very dangerous player. maybe even then next forsberg

  • ahaha I loved the Burke-Murray slap n tickle. Steal for the Oilers. Maguire and co. are idiots saying Paajarvi-Svensson was projected low top 10. He was projected as high as 3rd on occasion and it was only one sub-par tournament that dropped him. Size, speed and touch. Him and Omark will be deadly in the future.

  • GOOD PICK, suprised other teams didn't pick him

  • oh oops sorry i accidentally deleted the guy's comment before oops!

  • You're an idiot, he's 6'2 200 pounds... This is the steal of the draft, and he's the next Peter Forsberg, amazing pick from Edmonton.

  • He is the sleeper of the draft. Hes the fastest forward there. Super skilled. Will excel in the new nhl. A long term project.

However, he really lacks finish, and grit.

Hes big, but shys away from all physical play. He hates to be hit. A super skilled plyaer, but the oilers better surround him with tough guys cuz this kid is all skill no will. Best pick available at tenth though. If he works on his finish he could challenge the higher forwards in points. But he wont in goals.

  • Give this guy some time and he'll be the new Franzén.

  • Im not knocking him. He will be a great offensive speedster and player. Goalscorer? Impact player? 2 way reliable? Those are all big iffs. Lacks finish. Lacks any grit. Horrible defensively.

    Think Pavel Bure, not Franzen.

  • Most swedes are good defensively. Lacks grit? that guy drives hard to the net all the time. He just might not be good in the corners. But just let him develop. Edmonton should not rush him. I'm also worried about his finishing skills. I think he is playing in the world juniors this year, I'm expecting him to finish in atleast top 5 in points.

  • 200 lb? more like 150 lb
