If only all"tuition" videos were as good as this .. ie shot so you can see where the fingers are,... played slowly when they need to be, and played in a way that shows you properly what the guy is doing. excellent
i cant keep my index finger barred on the B and E string, because i cant stretch my ring and middle finger far enough to bend with the index moving :( any help?
ur the typical fanatic son of a bitch, the guy is trying to help teaching jimi's licks and u come to talk about his feeling. this video is not about that
The common meaning of irony only changed a few years ago, as part of an American process whereby mistakes become enshrined through repetition. "Reticent" is the latest victim, and is now used to mean "reluctant".
"Irony" includes situations where the meaning is not opposite, but only different, to the original intention. So unless he was named after Marshal amps, it is ironic that his name is Marshall. Irony also applies to feigned ignorance. This is nominative determinism.
You could think of it as the first box of the pentatonic scale with added notes from the dorian mode on the e and b strings and blues scale on the g string.
yes, I know; but stevie had jimi style in his own style so he created some sort of jimi style texas blues... jimi had more pass notes than stevie and had his original sound and styl like the 2. lick. well; peace and bye :))
Hi Robert! I got aQuestion about your Blue fender strat! did you change the neck? or do you have two guitars with the same scheme colors?

3) Go to two other video.
4) Paste it in the comments.

It's not irony that his names marshall and he plays marshall you turds.
It's an interesting coincidence.
Ironic would be if he was called Jimmy crapatguitar Hendrix. Cos you know, he wasn't.
0mgh4xftw 2 years ago 62
It's appropriate. The opposite of ironic!
PQleyR 2 years ago 3
@0mgh4xftw Irony is a dispraity between the truth and what you believe is going to happen. So yeah... You're right.

jimi's father changed his name from maurice to marshall because the new friend of jimi's mother had the name maurice
hemicuda93 2 years ago 2
actually, the name of the friend was Johnny. Jimi was first named Johnny Allen Hendrix. Dad changed it to James Marshall Hendrix, thus becoming Jimi.

Actually, he was born Johnny Allen Hendrix. Then renamed James Marshall Hendrix by his father. (His mother wasn't around much.)
Joshrules07 2 years ago
which doofus said jimi made marshall amps!!! thats a good one!! not heard that one before
valleysofneptune 2 years ago
People may say that because Jimi Hendrix's real name was James Marshall Hendrix. That being said it is funny that people think Hendrix made the amps.
Videomakerpro 2 years ago 9
it's still ironic due to the fact that his main amp was a marshall
GuitarGuy4813 2 years ago 3
Dude those licks were played before you or Hendrix were born.
Darin72000 2 years ago 2
The second lick sounds like the intro to Tin Pan Alley by SRV when it's slowed down.

Maybe SRV used the style from Hendrix.... most likely... not steal... it's a style.

yes, I know; but stevie had jimi style in his own style so he created some sort of jimi style texas blues... jimi had more pass notes than stevie and had his original sound and styl like the 2. lick. well; peace and bye :))
