@myquill23 Yes, you can't see it in this video but earlier during this mission Captain Alvin H. "Chopper" Davenport's, one of the 4 members of your squadron, plane is damaged. Ignoring and pleas for him to eject, he doesn't because they are flying over a a city and keeps fighting. After the stadium you were protecting is completely evacuated he tries to eject so the plane will crash into the it but the ejection fails. This is why you hear crying over the radio at the beginning of the video.

@myquill23 Also forgot to mention that this mission was originally a ceremonial flight for a speech being given by the nation's Vice-President so you have to fly over the stadium in formation but it is interrupted by the enemy fighters. The Missing Man Formation was done as a tribute to finish the original ceremonial formation so to speak.

Played it from Easy to Ace.

I like the franchise, because it had a good storyline.. I just do not get why Namco strayed away from it in Assault Horizon..

I hope the y make a next installment following the Ace Combat universe storyline.

In the entire game, this is the level i hate the most for obvious resons. when i first played this level, i am unashamed to say that i cried. when i finished the game i had2 ideas as to who shot down chopper. 1-the first plane i killed cause it was tailin choppper. 2the leader of the belken squad.

This game is epic, and this mission is even better, 4 vs an armada. Kinda seems like your reinforcements will never come. and for Cpt. Davenport. it was too late. i shot down every damn plane after we went down. pissed me off soo bad!

I cried in this mission. When the new wave came up, i wasn't sure what happened to me. I was flying 10xs better than what i did when i first did it. Right now i think i can only fly like around 6 to 8Xs better.

the pilots are harder from easy to hard (or whatever it goes to) and then ACE mode removes the infinate guns and reduces how much damage you can have i think.

I'd love to play Ace Combat online, and have/be in a squadron. I think AC5 created the most emotional attachment to the cast, I was flying through tears and firing harder when Chop went down, and the radio chatter of the Yukes/words from AWACS only made it worse.

*slautes* This mission angered me. Chopper was my favorite wingman. This is the only game to make me feel sad/pain after an ingame character died. Capt. Davenport, you will be missed. This was the saddest moment in the game. I just wanted to cry, and I swear, that piano music made it much much worse. Its sad to lose any pilot but Chopper was almost everyones favorite. And I do have to say the Ace Combat Zero was sad at the end. When nobody knew who he really was except Solo Wing Pixy. And that damn spanish tune made it sadder. But this was much worse.
