I think the video is hilarious. However, I do not agree with half the comments said by people. I Do not believe that the person who created this hates Yellowknife. But maybe I'm wrong. But most of the things said in this video is anywheres you go. Here it just stands out a bit more. I've lived in 5 provinces and realistically if you change the names of places in this video it could work in over half the cities/towns in Canada.

Why are some people so offended by this video. As a lawyer I can see no case for libel or slander against any business. While the facts alleged in the video are not totally accurate, it would be protected under free speech as a satire. I live here and love it. I have lived in a dozen Canadian cities in Canada and I find this one the best. Aside from having good employment opportunities, the people are very friendly and community oriented. I am here for the long-term!

If this guy really hates Yellowknife, I wonder how he would do in any of the smaller communities.

He is also clearly extremely over exaggerating everything but the number of convenience stores (he is only exaggerating a little). Yes it is possible to see drunks by the gold range early afternoon, But I have seen that in other cities (ie: Edmonton 107ave) but since the size of Yellowknife is so small it is a little easier to see it. Also drugs are easy to get in any city if you know where to look

@LordBacon2007 I worked at Javaroma once. The lines indeed get very long, and as a result customers do have to wait if they are at the back of the line (no shit). Some people in Yellowknife are just stupid when it comes to getting food. If it's busy you're going to have to wait longer. Fact of life. Don't like it? Go to another restaurant that isn't as busy. There are plenty downtown and a LOT that people don't even realize exist.
