FINALLY SOMEBODY KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE IN THE SNOW!! CUT THE WHEEL LEFT AND RIGHT! I HATE SEEING VIDS OF PEOPLE JUST SITTIN THERE SPINNING NOT TURNING AT ALL. LIKE WTF!
when the tires start spinning just give it less throttle. you want to give it just enough power to turn the tires and not enough to spin them. if you have a way of airing back up... letting out even a little will help with traction. just some advice, other then that great job, it looks like some thick powder!
@tonkaturtle Thats pretty much the only problem he is having. Throttle control plays a big role in getting 'unstuck' or going through rough terrain. When you have momentum, keep it; then you should not get stuck in the first place. Do not floor the gas.
@tonkaturtle backing off the gas works sometimes but trying to go up a snowy hill ha i would have backed way up and floored it and let mymomentum carry me up while still on the gas. im from northern new york i know this
@trac0808 lol i'm from canada, further north than you are, and im saying that's a bad idea. if you floor it and depend on the momentum, all it takes is one tire to grab some traction to spin your car sideways. and when your sideways on a snowy icy hill, you stand a chance of rolling down that hill. youd probably be better letting a little bit of air out of your tires and crawling it at a medium speed. also important to keep turning your wheels back and forth to grab whatever traction you can.
i have a question i have a tj and do you off and on love your jeep.. some times i just want to get rid of the damn thing and some times i just love it... its a love hate relationship for me
Bullshit. My brother has a Ford Explorer and it can't do half the crap my Jeep can in the snow. Snow will get anyone stuck, so stop trying to seem superior. A guy with a lifted XJ on my block and 32" snow tires was still sliding.
I take back what i said...kinda. I only run 33's, and i still get stuck. Yota's on full widths and 40'+ tall tires are REAL wheelers. Believe it or not 33" inch tires dont get ya THAT far
@TheJeepWheeler No Limited Slip, Fully locked. Our YJ Has Rubicon axles on it featuring the Rubicon Lockers which are able to engage/disengage from inside the cab.
@TheJeepWheeler Sometimes we roll with no lockers just for fun, in this video they were not engaged, but I forgot to mention with lockers disengaged, there is a limited slip so that is what you see kicking in.
jeeps never did any good in the snow ive owned way to many or not enough but their too light bing heave in snow is not always a bad thing unless its ice underneeth and you break through nice jeep though bring a truck nexttime with some 35s or bigger get the diff out of the snow if you have a chevey im sorry... the a- arms act as a plow
my buddy has some dick c peck fun countrys on his f-250 they are 36 x 16.5 inch wide they float on top small skinny tires get better psi on ice but sink in powder i say in powder wider is better on ice the skinnier the better my opinion and that is what works best for me
Assumptions ftw? No videos of your shit, I see. My ONE video (I had others that I deleted) trumps your ZERO. You don't get offended when I say something to you but you respond to it with insults? That's funny. You expose your lies in the same run-on sentence in which you made the claims. Hilarity.
No, it means I have at least something to show for my hobby. You claim all kinds of junk but have nothing to offer. "way to many or not enough"...wtf does that mean? "bing heave in snow'...seriously?

maybe thats because 32" tires aint shit in the real world. Maybe on your BLOCK it is, but not on the trail.

@TheJeepWheeler
Hence why I said snow tires. I was just trying to state how sometimes snow is difficult to get through no matter what you have.

Bigger tires do not help in snow. They actually make things worse.
