  • I'm back home with this! I'm having a ball catching up with shows I haven't seen in decades! Still funny as all get up with such talent! No buffoonery in my book, just good acting and COMEDY!

  • about 1949 my father bought a rca victor tv. I was a sick kid with azzma (cnt spell it)

in oxygen tent. never went to 1rst or 2nd grade. Around here we only got one

channel and this show was my theopy. Yes I like Ralph Kramdon, but this show

took to way out levels i mean filming in real life backdrops. And for thoses talkin

about racist they come from this new world - These are the ones

who think of the new stuff which is stupid. been 60rys & found this. Real people

    real problems.

  • Calhoun was one of the funniest characters in the history of television but is virtually unknown to anyone under 50.

  • lovely beena long time to se this ,, thank you fo having it ...

  • Bra! This gotta be the funniest thing since the stooges. How in the hell the NAACP thought this was bad when the Jewish Society loved the Stooges? I'm black and mad there wasn't enough Black show on at this time except for Beula and the Nat King Cole show. NAACP fucked it up like Al Sharpton does today. White folks, Rev. Al does not represent Black folks. When we see him on TV, we change the channel.

  • @djkaneck1 You done stole my thunder. I feel the same way as you about the Stooges whom I love dearly.

  • Amos and Andy was FUNNY! Racism? Bullshit!!! Great actors, great writing. Calhoun a stereotype? Sure, like Johnny Cochran. They never called each other "nigga". Regardless of dialect, I can understand them, unlike the rappers of today, who I find more stereotypical and more offensive.

  • Algonquin J Calhoun...My favorite character of all of them,...except for all my other favorite characters. Godgrey Cambridge led a movement in the sixties to revive this series, but, of course, PC was starting to set in then, a big part of the ruination of our country.

  • 'Anyone who'd go out with her is under lock n key'..what a line! It doesn't get much better..I grew up watching these guys all the time, never gave a thought to 'color', they were just plain funny...as were the 3 Stooges....in fact Hal Roach produced both of them...and you can't tell me that young blacks growing up didn't 'nyuk nyuk nyuk' once in a while...NAACP..grow up, SPIKETV bring these guys back if you got the balls

  • Hahahahahhahahahaha!

This is the funniest thing I ever saw!
