You cannot raise the dead... While the cloned person would have the same DNA as the original person, they would be a different person. It's like how identical twins (natural "clones") have the same DNA, but are different people. Also, cultural memes would play a factor. It wouldn't be fair to a cloned person if their purpose in being created was to fill a hole in someone else's heart.
Why would you want to clone a loved one who passed away? That would just make me depressed. Imagine cloning your mother and watching her grow up but she has NO motherly bond with you and has no memories of raising you, laughing with you, playing with you. That is horrible imo

God never said that we have the ability to determine who has a soul or who goes to heaven or not. The lack of success in cloning animals is a very good reason not to do it in humans. They will charge the people for the process whether it takes or not. It's a way to fleece the people who have fertility problems. If they manage higher success then what happens to the world's orphans waiting for homes?

The Problem with the way humans are trying to clone. Is You CAN NOT Clone something that's already been cloned. you can only do it from the Original fertlized Cell that you start out with. and if that Original Cell has any admoralites then whatever your cloning is going to have admoralites. So when cloning anything you have to check to make sure the new cell is health. This why they couldn't do it right without the clone dieing.
Clones are not as they are in sci fi movies and books. If you were to clone yourself and wait for that clone to reach the age you were when you created it, it would be very different from you - another person entirely. It's the same with identical twin. They share the *same* genetic material, and yet they are very different people.

Actually my point was that people are not all nature and so cloning is not a way to bring a person who lived a certain life back from the dead even by cloning their DNA (sort of).
As for your question I'm not the person to ask about this stuff, but a problem with cloning older DNA is that you clone all the accumulated errors as well and whereas in a person one cell with errors might not lead to anything bad, giving an old set of mutated DNA to an embryo to start with might.

The lack of success in cloning animals is a very good reason not to do it in humans. They will charge the people for the process whether it takes or not. It's a way to fleece the people who have fertility problems. If they manage higher success then what happens to the world's orphans waiting for homes?

The winner sperm makes it to the egg on a normal birth, which is the fasted and strongest sperm cell the one that makes it in the egg. There are one out of millions of sperm cells to select the best one of them all. They only select any sperm cell/dna to inject the egg. Physically, clones are always weaker than non clones, as the errors in the original beings life, are not corrected and passed on in the genes. Eventually the clone of a clone... will be too weak to survive.

I thought about cloning as a solution to death, but that would only cause a different person to rise, and the original person will never be alive again. I thought maybe you could transplant a brain or head onto a cloned body and you could supposedly live forever that way, until your brain becomes defunctional, but by that time we would have technology to transfer the knowledge of that brain into another brain. Just a theory.

The Problem with the way humans are trying to clone. Is You CAN NOT Clone something that's already been cloned. you can only do it from the Original fertlized Cell that you start out with. and if that Original Cell has any admoralites then whatever your cloning is going to have admoralites. So when cloning anything you have to check to make sure the new cell is health. This why they couldn't do it right without the clone dieing.

Clones are not as they are in sci fi movies and books. If you were to clone yourself and wait for that clone to reach the age you were when you created it, it would be very different from you - another person entirely. It's the same with identical twin. They share the *same* genetic material, and yet they are very different people.
Cloning mothers is not a way to bring them back.

Actually my point was that people are not all nature and so cloning is not a way to bring a person who lived a certain life back from the dead even by cloning their DNA (sort of).
As for your question I'm not the person to ask about this stuff, but a problem with cloning older DNA is that you clone all the accumulated errors as well and whereas in a person one cell with errors might not lead to anything bad, giving an old set of mutated DNA to an embryo to start with might.

@katejarvis1 to Dolly's death was that she could have been born with a genetic age of six years, the same age as the sheep from which she was cloned.

@yourboycal It was because of a lung infection. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Dolly minus the arthritis, which could have happened to a normal sheep as well. see Lee Silvers video.
