@RakeBone he got 3 stars cause he was slow in killing them, but that can't be helped, if he had a 3rd ally them the battle would've gone faster, that's just a fault within the developers rating it based off of how quickly you can do a battle with 3 party members instead of 2 at this given time, so no matter what for those battles you're gonna get a 3 which is the highest for this case

I do believe they clearly made this distinction as having played 13 myself my scores were always 5 star. Now that I am replaying 13 for a score of 1500+ I am finding it a more challenging and rewarding experience.
One final note is that pre-emps are a lot easier to do in 13-2 hence and easier increase in score

Haha, that brings back a funny memory. A few years ago when I played FF7, when I was grinding I would just set the characters with a fury ring, and let them fight for themselves whenever an enemy appeared. Now THAT is letting the game play itself.

In order for this game to be enjoyable the willingness suspension of Disbelief is supposed to be at 1,000,000. I mean come on I'm supposed to believe that a punk that shows up from nowhere and a girl that didn't do anything in the first game have the power to fight giants and travel through time collecting pokemon. This game is horrible just from the get go. I can't believe I'm saying this but I would rather play 13 than this game. At least that game was a little more believable than this.
When has Final Fantasy ever made sense? I plan on getting it because it seems fun, and I loved the demo. To hell with the original XIII, it wasn't fun, and it restricted you too much. Gameplay wise, this is what XIII should have been.

@Aguila701 Well the "punk" is apparently a hunter, so you can't for sure know what he hunts.. could be anything. and the girl. shes lightnings sister. so thats gotta count for something, along with being driven to find her sister, i'd say its pretty believable. with the time travaling thing. it adds something new to final fantasy, makes it a more open world and makes it a little bit more fun. the whole monster collecting thing was a cool idea

The "punk" could be a PoKemon trainer from another universe because when he showed up they started collecting monsters, and we all know how tough pokemon trainers can be ain a battle when they have to fight for themselves.

@Aguila701 How many games of the series have you played exactly? Because Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 are made for fans of the series, not for WoW or Skyrim fans. I loved XIII and if it's true that XIII-2 is better I'll love it even more. I received my Collector's Edition yesterday and played just 2 hours, but so far it's awesome. And "yes", I've played almost every FF game, not just the main series and I own a Collector's Edition on most of them.

@minininja820 IX was the last of PSone, I didn't quite like it, felt like they did it in a hurry. X was too linear (squaresoft merged with enix, shit...). IX ..wtf. XII, that game had new combat modes, but still didn't felt like an FF game. XII ( 5 or smth years to make, & it was full of linear bullshit, shitty names, shitty dialogues, gay barbie faces...). XIII-2? (...??? I don't know abou it, but you start playing a character like Selphie, a bitch nobody wants to play with)

@Ilir7777 Yea well 13 and 13-2 were the main production of this Crytsal like saga Agito/Type-0 and Versus13 were just side projects as Sony and SE still keeps true to old ways and Playstation gets exclusive Final Fantasy game. Versus is the next one tbh Type-0/Agito comes out this year aswell. So versus should pop end of this year or early 2013. Also we will know more abaut versus on E3 in 4-5 months and TGN in 8 months. @trpl72 It should be in the game case. When you open it, it should be around where the instruction manual is put. That's my guess, if it's coming in the mail, the code might be in the box. If you have to pick it up in GameStop, it'll most likely be in the game case itself. My advice, before putting it in, make sure you have a save file loaded, then redeem the code like you'd redeem a MicroPoints card. You should've got it from Amazon though, it offers a whole new Character. XD

@MrRocklover2010 Yeah it has been selling kind of bad in Japan. It only sold over 500,000 copies in the first week, while XIII sold 1.5 million copies in it's first week.
However, that's not anything to really worry about, considering that this game probably had a lower budget than XIII and besides, it's not like there's inflation problems or anything caused by that tsunami from last year.
I really hate choosing sides on the best FF games....eventhough I DO in fact have a few preferences myself (: But for the moment while I am LIVING in the SUPER PUMPED FIRST LOOK MOMENT OF FFXIII-2, I guess I can let that all slide(:
Everyone complains about the gameplay or the battles or even the story in almost every FF game, but you never hear anyone say the music wasn't amazing. That's one of the main reasons I play.

@Eleetnessful The Paradigm shift system was not entirely a bad idea I thought. They had the right idea in terms of the pacing of the battles, which definitely needed an update to modern standards, but what I really didn't like was having no direct control over your allies. Unfortunately or fortunately the future of the FF series will go in the action direction, so xiii-2 will probably be the last turn based FF we'll see. Enjoy while it lasts....and turn off your caps for christ sake :S
I have the first FF XIII but i think i'll pass on this one & wait for versus 13. this one is just not that appealing to me. first of all I dont wanna play as Serah, shes just boring to me. i would rather Sazh or Snow be the main character you play as. Noel is an alright character i suppose & its still cool you get to play as Lightening

@minininja820 IX was the last of PSone, I didn't quite like it, felt like they did it in a hurry. X was too linear (squaresoft merged with enix, shit...). IX ..wtf. XII, that game had new combat modes, but still didn't felt like an FF game. XII ( 5 or smth years to make, & it was full of linear bullshit, shitty names, shitty dialogues, gay barbie faces...). XIII-2? (...??? I don't know abou it, but you start playing a character like Selphie, a bitch nobody wants to play with)

@Ilir7777 Well 13 Versus has no chicks as playable character at all :p and versus will be having the ff7 8 9 and 10 like world and events you will be able to fly on airships, drive cars etc all that crap that was in 7 8 9 and 10 :) So I cant wait for versus. Also 13 and 13-2 was probly intended to be like X and X-2 since those 2 were most favorite games after 7 but 13 flopped badly so this might redeem since 13-2 has similarities to 7 8 9 and 10

@Ilir7777 Yea well 13 and 13-2 were the main production of this Crytsal like saga Agito/Type-0 and Versus13 were just side projects as Sony and SE still keeps true to old ways and Playstation gets exclusive Final Fantasy game. Versus is the next one tbh Type-0/Agito comes out this year aswell. So versus should pop end of this year or early 2013. Also we will know more abaut versus on E3 in 4-5 months and TGN in 8 months. They did say that people were enraged abaut the tunnel like game 13 was

@trpl72 It should be in the game case. When you open it, it should be around where the instruction manual is put. That's my guess, if it's coming in the mail, the code might be in the box. If you have to pick it up in GameStop, it'll most likely be in the game case itself. My advice, before putting it in, make sure you have a save file loaded, then redeem the code like you'd redeem a MicroPoints card. You should've got it from Amazon though, it offers a whole new Character. XD

People need to stop mentioning Versus.. How it teases me so... I'm really looking forward to this game, but if I had a option to get Versus done first I'd pick Versus.
Final Fantasy + Kingdom Hearts Gameplay + Amazing FF13 Graphics + Nonlinear gameplay (as they say) = Best FF game yet. They should just change versus to FF15, but they probably won't because versus is based on 13's world.

@Eleetnessful The Paradigm shift system was not entirely a bad idea I thought. They had the right idea in terms of the pacing of the battles, which definitely needed an update to modern standards, but what I really didn't like was having no direct control over your allies. Unfortunately or fortunately the future of the FF series will go in the action direction, so xiii-2 will probably be the last turn based FF we'll see. Enjoy while it lasts....and turn off your caps for christ sake :S

I have the first FF XIII but i think i'll pass on this one & wait for versus 13. this one is just not that appealing to me. first of all I dont wanna play as Serah, shes just boring to me. i would rather Sazh or Snow be the main character you play as. Noel is an alright character i suppose & its still cool you get to play as Lightening
