I don't think this change will be bad, because I will be in all the world, and I think that I would be able to see more chanels of other countries that I can watch now.

Here in Colombia, the locals networks are broadcasting this too.

you people dont understand. you are not trying to get brain washed. the government want everybody to enjoy crystal clear piture and sound. this transition's purpose is not to brainwash americans. wheter you like it or not the whole world in the future will be all digital. many countries besides the us has been hosting their own transitions. So analog signals and the tvs will eventually become fully extinct.

These converter boxes are also ideal if you have satellite service with analog tvs. Instead of paying the satellite company (directv or dishnetwork).

just get converter boxes for you locals! Save $5 a month!! Plus you get more locals then the satellite! Why pay for local channels its not worth!! You will save $60 a year if you switch out of locals on satellite and just get a converter box! I am currently doing this right now saving $60 a year! I have directv and forget about paying for locals! Save money and dont pay the satellite company extra for locals!!

That's completely stupid, I mean, ALL the CHANELS are not from USA, so the goverment can't control all the Tv, then you can change to another chanel from... Europe by Example.

Call me paranoid but it seems that no one is reading between the lines on this " switch to digital tv " thing.The reason they say they are making everyone switch is because it will open the airwaves for emergency radio signals.If you ask me , I think this is just another way for them to both censor and monitor what the general population watches on TV.I have cable, But will also keep my rabbit ears.
