There is new "liquid armor" called shear-thickening fluids, and have found the best chemicals to use are polyethylene glycol and silica. Dilute the mixture in ethanol and soak the Kevlar fabric. Once soaked, dry the Kevlar in a drying oven to evaporate the ethanol, and you will be left with treated Kevlar.
All the Chemicals are on Ebay too make the super kevlar, you can protect against rifle rounds and spikes with soft armor now if you know how too do it.I dont know how much ethanol to use. hfh
very deceptive video. not proper testing, backing, distance etc and very misleading stating number of layers penetrated. seems to imply 5 layers will stop bullet. kevlar works as a system, all layers make the stop even though only a few are penetrated. our vests stop a .44 magnum 240gr 1420fps in 2 layers, BUT it is because there are 30 layers total. 15 layers might stop a .357 but the trauma could still probably kill you. did you notice how their video showed kevlar left in a wad after the shot

@unraveledtree not exactly true, its just about as deadly as someone taking one swing at you with a ball peen hammer (ball end) it wont kill you (most of the time) but itll hurt like a bitch and most likely break something.
The backing in your test is faulty. You need to use something that simulates the denisty and response of human flesh. Gelatin, clay, silicone, and piggies make a more accurate test.
Where the fuck do you even get rolls of kevlar.
