There was one fall that made them change all the jumps. the horse jumped too early, and flipped. It landed on it's rider, and she's still in rehab. It happened like three years ago. THe horse broke his neck and had to be put down on the spot. The tarp was up for like an hour.

i thought good witch god eliminated after she fell at the double diamonds??? or did she get back on here because the horse didn't fall and the rider didn't fall due to a jump? so many rules. gotta love those jump judges.

The rider is Jennifer wooten on the good witch. I LoVe her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!! She was my riding teacher since I was six. she got short listed for the olympic team and the good witch was 2008 mare of the year

@cowsrule222 this isn't actually jennifer wooten, she fell at the double diamonds (the corner complex towards the end of the course), I was standing right there when it happened, just a freak accident luckily they were ok. (not trying to discredit you, just getting the details straight :)) She is a great rider and I love that mare, can't wait to see them go this year!!

he had a rare defect that could not be detected or tested for he died doing what he loved to do. it was not cruel in any way....he will be missed...

Kingpin did not die as a result of the fall. He had some kind of defect in his stomach that ruptured, some kind of rare condition. He actually fell AFTER the fence and died immediately

Yeah, it happened at the log drop (the first fence). it's so tragic.

It was so strange; I mean, ten wasn't supposed to be a super challenging fence. It was downhill off of a quick gallop stretch, maybe he just didnt back off and balance enough. however it happened im so sorry.

The horse that died was Kingpin, ridden by Mike Winter

@mcook311 the fall was NOT about the course. It was that the horse got a pulmenary hemorage, or his heart failed him basically. I think something happened in his stomach too... it was a freak accident

i know that was so sad. i know this sounds bad but im so happy i didnt see it happen. this fall wasn't bad at all; just mixed things up a little haha
