As a child, watching this clip always gave me the impression that we humans are decendents of frogs. And I was spooked by the "Hey Kermit!" line at the end.
@sweetlife031 Same here. I used to be scared seeing this skit after the frog shouted "Hey Kermit" because he was screaming too loud and it was hurting my ears.
I know that this is a crazy question but, before the frog shouted "Heeeey Kermiiiit!", what was the reason for the screen to be going backwards little by little? If I were to take a guess why they had the screen going backwards was just to show that Kermit The Frog was not around (before the frog shouted his name, I saw that he looked on his left and right side probably to see if he can see Kermit), and the frog probably thought if he shouted Kermit's name very loud, Kermit would come by.
Yes that's true. Kermit would always get slapped on the back by Grover but, instead of saying "Heeeey Kermiiittt!", Grover would shout "Heeeey Frog!" But I wonder why that frog at the end of this skit was shouting for Kermit. Either the frog was related to Kermit, or he was Kermit's friend, or maybe he shouted Kermit's name just for humor so the audience would laugh since both him and Kermit are frogs.
When I was young, I used to be a little bit afraid when that frog shouted "Heeeey Kermiiiittt!" The reason I was afraid was because the frog was shouting a little too loud and it was hurting my ears.

Back in the 70s and 80s, the cartoonists who worked for CTW still knew how to keep lessons fun without dumbing them down; this is a great example.

Yeah, I like this one because of the famous line "HEEEEYYYYYYYYYY, KERMIIIIITTTT!"

Al leaste he didn't run up behind Kermit saying that and slapping him on the back.

Yeah, Kermit got that kind of treatment in most of his sketches.

@afriendofbean
I think that the "Hey Kermit" was done pretty much for comic relief.

Thank you. I guess if that frog really was related to Kermit or one of Kermit's friends, Kermit probably would have been on this skit as a cartoon.
