Guess what jdarvis, it was Clinton who agreed to Congress' repeal of the Glass Stegal Act and it was Richard Rubin, Clinton's adviser (and now one of Obama's advisers) who told him to do it.
And it's hard for me to say this, but the Republicans are the ones who have been more principled on this issue (the bailout) than the Democrats.
I disagree with Matt's assessment that the bailout is the fault of a 2 party system county. It comes from when good people that are promising in 1 party, jump ship, not once but twice.
