  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i want to learn but im in canada...

  • lmfao the commentator saying "Dont try that on your wife"

  • makes me want to get back into hwa rang do, it was so much fun

  • Great.

  • Did this Master go by the name of "Eric" Lee and taught at a studio in Mission Viejo, CA?

  • @1yellafella: Eric Lee is his younger brother. This is the eldest son of the founder Dr. Joo Bang Lee, Grandmaster Taejoon Lee. Currently he presides and teaches at the West Coast headquarters in West LA.

  • How many Korean Martial arts are there, and what are they?

  • does any body know what the sport version is called? I think it's Tae Su Do but I can't remember.

  • The white over vest?! Ive searched and Searched for something like this and I cant find anywhere to buy something like that. Can you guys help?

  • Do you have ANY studios in Canada,

    Edmonton

Or do you know of any other studios in Edmonton?

  • the best¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • so is this system based on throws our stricks our both?

  • We are a comprehensive martial art system: soft/circular & hard/linear; striking; grappling, throws & takedowns; kick/punch/throw fighting; submission fighting; weapon fighting; martial & healing art; internal & external energy development; intellectual & philosophical pursuits

  • Ooooh and I liked the last move he did...sweet!

  • these guys are like shaolin

  • ... and in Chicago. Go to:

    hwarangdoil[dot]com for more details.

  • Whoa, finally got to see it, awesome.

  • That's so long ago. It would probably serve you best to start over from the beginning.

  • i have a background in tkd do u think i can make the transition into hwarang easily r they very alike

  • I think you would have to view the videos and judge for yourself. Of course we have extensive kicking and there always going to be similiarities, but Hwa Rang Do's curriculum is immense. We have all facets of martial and life training as our goal is to acquire balance and become self aware. Everyone must start from the beginning no matter what their past experience is and how easily one transitions is a matter of how much you can empty the cup, empty the mind, and empty the heart.

  • i would like to join this how much would it be for the classes?

  • haha right at the end when the grand master guy ties the sash from his foot to his neck, the annoouncer guy says "dont try this at home, dont try this on wife"

  • How is Hwarangdo different from Taekwondo ?

Do they have the same origin ?

  • No, it's said Hwarangdo has it's origins in earlier dynasties.

  • Hwa Rang Do is more of a complete fighting style, whereas modern TKD has evolved to be more or less a sport. Officially it was included within the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

From what I know, Hwa Rang Do is more technical, the movements must be perfect for them to be successful.

  • I <3 hwa rang do.^^

  • i wanna take that

  • ha i was there in the back

  • Is Amazing!!!!

ehh master you speak spanish?? i can't write good english.. but i try xD

  • Hey, is the master shown here Henry Lee? I think he was on a special about martial arts on A&E about ten years ago.

  • Yes, it is. He now goes by his Korean name, "Taejoon" Lee.

  • You know that Taejoon's father is Lee Joo Bang.

  • im in demonstration team for florida hwa rang do academy my teahcer is jessie vi and my grand master is name ky tae yum mr. jessie is called sabumnim i am a red belt ive been in hwa rang do for 2 years

  • This master is SCARY! NEVER EVER mess with him. He reminds me of Qui Gon Jin

  • It is a beginner program that we created called Tae Soo Do and not Tang Soo Do and it has nothing to do with "Tae" used in the name Tae Kwon Do. They mean completely different things. If you wnat more detailed info please checkout our websites or give us a call (310)473-6233.

  • depending on your previous martial arts skills u may have to take TAE SOO DO before hwa rang do

although its most likely that no matter what, u have to take tae soo do before hwa rang do.

  • how many years does it take to master Hwa Rang Do. Do you have to do Tang Soo Do first?

  • Martial Arts usually take many years to "master", however, noone can truly "master" an art unless they master him or herself first. As for about taking Tang Soong Do first, I have no idea.

  • It is Tae Soo Do and it usually takes three years to finish before one can move on to Hwa Rang Do. Also Tae Soo Do is not the same characters as the other name for Tae Kwon Do.
