Which is what he's told very forcefully by Arthur Jensen in the "college of corporations" scene. The entire point of the script is that Howard Beale represents an antiquated way of thinking – that the Earth is for the individual and populated with varied cultures who determine their own destinies.

Which is what he's told very forcefully by Arthur Jensen in the "college of corporations" scene. Check your history textbook again, WW1 was started due to a long history of competition between European nations for economic markets strong nationalism and a heavy build up of military forces. The assassination was only the immediate cause and goes in hand with the disagreement with serbia and hungary which led to ww1. Yeah, but the assassination STARTED the war. WW2 was definitely not discouraged by America, we were losing a lot of exporting and importing business due to Germany gobbling up Europe...it wasn't very secret. War has never helped the economy...that is a HUGE myth.
