We’re sorry you had such a low speed with O2 Home Broadband Access. We listened to feedback from customers like you and have made some changes to O2 Home Broadband Access – we’ve also beefed up our systems here to make more capacity available.
We think you should be able to get a much faster speed now. Would you mind testing the speed for us again and let us know what you get please?
@clarebannerman as someone who has used both i disagree.... Eircom are shocking and even block acess to the piratebay not to mention their WEP security issues
yeah the worst bit is banged in the arse crap home access service and they still want paying. i got my mac code today and am off to xilo or alan&andrew non llu oh and i dont have to pay any contract fees due the o2 HA product no working for the last 4-5mths, why sell it there should be laws to protect the consumer but not in shity UK cant wait for china to invade uk and wipe the slate clean :)
I have every sympathy with you, i had to complain to the ISPA to get O2 to release me from my contract because the internet was un-usable during peak hours. Funny thing is the first month my speeds were superb at all times of the day. as soon as my cooling off period ended the speeds went from 4mbps down to a pathetic 150-300kbps. Am with a little known isp called surfanytime now, its a bit more pricey at £30 a month but there is no throttling or port blocking whatsoever.
My internet speed with talktalk is 0.25mb.... i cant even watch this video! UK sucks when it comes down to broadband what a shame...

LLU stands for Local Loop Unbundling, it means that other companies can install their own equipment in telephone exchanges without using BT's.

JaxxBunny: Your welcome. I would have a hard time recommending O2 Broadband to anyone at the moment.
Baldbloke0: Unfortunately Yes I am stuck on the access product - which interestingly is what the support team keep blaming for my troubles.
I would suggest that if you're going to offer a service, you should make sure you can offer it properly before hand. Maybe I'm being unreasonable?

Just a quick update - my connection hasn't improved in the 4 weeks since posting this video, but I did manage to get in touch with support.
A fix was promised by the end of November. This morning I achieved a massive 0.15mbit dl rate.
Apparently the service is broken Nationally & resolving the problem is a high priority issue. Make of that what you will.
Considering the size of O2 and the resource available to them, this whole problem smacks of incompetence of the highest order.

What the hell?!
And I was just about to check out their deals after I got an email from them..
But damn, I think TalkTalk is better if this is true lol.. So I'll stick with them for now.. :/
Thanks for the warning!!

Are you on the O2 Access product? I am, and at times I can't even get 0.1MB!!! Roll on March when the 12-month minimum contract is up!
Wish I'd never left Demon, they were brilliant even if they were a bit pricey.
