Isn't this around the same time she had to have throat surgery to remove a cyst? I do know that she had the problem before she came out with "Battlefield" so that's probably why she had the abnormal rasp in her voice during this performance. She still sounded amazing! She's just an awesome talent!

She had to pull her earpiece at the beginning of the song. In those venues you can't hear your voice (so even though her voice sounded tired) - she had to do the best she could in that circumstance. Everyone knows she can sing so they don't need to rip her.
