  • this is amazing and this shows how beautiful wildlife truely is. makes me cry a lot

  • ohhh ke bella historia

  • Why would that stupid cunt think the lion is sitting in the back of a Bentley? Not only does it look just an old SL, but It has a giant Mercedes star on the trunk too. Her idiocy aside, A+ for the lion being awesome.

  • make me cry

  • This is great! I can't believe this! Tears in my eye's!

  • How I cried watching this video... :)

  • I'm an animal lover, and this is so touching I can't stop crying.

People need to learn from this, realise that animals are innately harmless, and can form an inextricable and lifelong bond with humans who care for, respect and understand them.

  • Eary in 1973 Christian crossed the Tana River, going north in the direction of the Meru National Park, a much more attractive area and a good hunting ground. In a National Park, animals were safer from poachers, hunters and tribesmen with cattle. Sadly, George finally stopped counting the days and months of Christian's absence from Kora and he was never seen again.

An excerpt from the book "A Lion Called Christian"

  • Lions begin to age and weaken between 10 and 15 years of age at the latest so there's no way Christian would be alive today he would be well and truly dead

  • If you want Christian's full story then read the book "A Lion Called Christian" it is a great read and there are some fantastic photos of Christian in there as well

  • Christian would have to be the ambassador for the wildlife of the world there's no doubt about it

  • This just shows how much love and trust can between an animal and humans can be. We are all on this small world together, oh and I am a man and I cry every time I see this too, I makes my heart take flight.

  • It is impossible not to cry watching this video...I have seen it so many times but a tear still runs down my face every time.

  • Tôi không biết làm gì hơn là cứ để cho nước mắt tuân rơi! tôi khóc vì cảm động vì hạnh phúc, dù tôi đã là một đúa con trai 20 tuổi,

  • I have seen all the doco's AMD i can' t stop crying so beuatiful

  • I wonder where he is now?

  • @shwankyJoJo Lions only live 8-12 years in the wild. He was thought to be the biggest lion in Kenya, 500lbs. No evidence was found that he met an early death. He Lived a very happy life..

  • please help me stop crying!! ahhh

  • I salute ACE and JOHN! And to the people behind this video. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video! :) It really makes me cry and it really touches my heart! :)

  • wow

  • AAdopt a Lion - Go the George Adamson pages on the internet - it will tell you how. Still loving my Christian - an example to human beings

  • Yes Taliasalia - I too think about all these things - I wonder did he live a lonely life - did he find some happiness - did he feel abandoned. I wonder if he would have been happier in a sanctuary of some sort - I feel sad when these thoughts surface & pray to God to let C be happy - yes, animals do go to heaven & Paradise - as another viewer wrote - the Lion &the Lamb - Do Ace & John think of him now? He has certainly put them on the map. However, I love this Lion tremendously & still watch

  • hi cocobana, mmmmm I love all animals but Christian to me is an angel, Im crying now writing this, its been almost week now since I have seen the doco, its completely chnaged my life, its brought out so much emotion in me and now I know what I want to do in my life, and thats to keep Christians legacy alive however I want to do more than just donate money, I want to get more involved but not sure how?

  • I wonder if Ace and John think of Christian everyday and if they have any regrets, It must have been so ahrd to leave him in Africa. Does anyone know how to contact either Ace or John? I hope Christina lived a happy life, I just cant see him killing anything he was a little angel. Its a tragic story all round, his best friend Boy being shot, George being killed and Christian left on his own, I hope one day I see the positive to this

  • I watch Christian every single day - I absolutely love this lion and thank you Ace and John R for being so good to Christian and of course the late George A for his patience in integrating him in to the wild. Christian lives on - through this clip, the books and the dvd's and of course his little ones whom I hope have carried his genes on till today. Goodnight Christian.

  • I too wtach Christian everyday and think of him, I still cry alot, I sometimes think he wasnt that happy in the wild, I think the world of Ace and John too I think they are awesome, but they hnad bred Christian and then expected him to live in the wild, poor little guy. I wish I could see the happy side to this, I brought the book today and just keep looking at C in the photos, he so wasnt a wild lion poor thing, he must have thought Sce and John had abandoned him??

  • omg i wept so hard...lol...that is sooooooo cute

  • a remarkable video...

this just show even animals can connect with us human..and in this era where humans are killing each other every day, its such a shame..humans are the worst animals...

bravo to the two wonder brothers!

  • Thank you Ace & John for loving Christian. You have good hearts - animals always know.

  • makes me cry...and i am a man. I guess im sensitive.

  • @tubeparker23 aww so cute

  • INCREDIBILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Much better than Meredith Viera's interview, hands down. Respect was given to Ace, John and Christian. Nice job Kerri-Anne!

  • BTW: Bravo to John and Ace for trying to show us the perfect world we are all missing out on, but can still strive for.

  • Meredith Veira shows the type of ignorance that runs interference for humans to ever get near closing the gap in getting next to "wild" animals.

The "lunch meat" comment killed any effort she was hoping for.

This was her follow-up to a story re: same where she cried at the reunion video. Her go on should have been keyed to how amazing this relationship is and how desperately funds are needed for the care and safety of animals in a wild environment.

    What a missed opportunity.

  • Yo apoyo el comentario acerca de que los animales tienen sentimientos, pueden sentir y nos hacen felices como este león hizo felíz a sus amos por mucho tiempo.

    Cuiden a sus mascotas!!!

  • I ment all the animals wild or not. They are all God's creation. It's ou duty to treat them with respect. In this case the reward was wonderful, the lion didn'T forget them, wich means he has feelings. I hope that one day everyone can understand this.

Please don´t go to Circus with animals.

  • God bless you John and Ace. You made me feel proud of humankind, and that doesn't happen often. I would give anything to have a hugh like that from this beautiful lion. This is real love.

Thank you for showing the world that the lions and all wild animals desearve to be treated with love and respect.

You are an inspiration. I wish you all the best. God bless you.

  • Bless you Gentleman ...

  • I agree that Meredith didn't give sufficient opportunities to Ace. And her comment on luncheon meat was absolutely dumb. Katie Couric was much better.

  • I loved this video and story so much!! I've tried to track down anymore info on the 2 men. They supposidly did a interview in Australia..but I haven't seen a video of it :-( Animal rescuers bond with Christian the lion

"JOHN Rendall and Anthony 'Ace' Bourke give their only Australian television interview exclusively to Kerri-Anne Kennerley tomorrow at 9am on Channel Nine" Perth Now news

  • I salute every human being especially George,Ace and John for making this happen...You're a God sent angel...

  • Me too I cried like a baby, every time I watch. I agree Meredith's comment was stupid, I think Katie Couric would've been better.

  • Wow! It's SO GREAT to see these men together for this interview!! I was hoping that would happen sometime. I do wish Mr. Bourke had been given more chances to speak though. I was a bit annoyed when he started to speak and was interrupted for that dumb "lunchmeat" comment. I love these guys and I deeply admire them for what they did for Christian. What a BEAUTIFUL, sweet story! I'm glad to know I wasn't the only person who cried over the video. I watched it over and over, crying the whole time.

  • don´t worry. The same thing happens to me. I watched it over and over crying the whole time too.

  • This videa truly shows that animals are mans best friend. I cry everytime I watch it!!

  • This video makes me cry every time I see it!! Ace an John, congratulaions!!!, you gave a second chance to Christian to live in the place he has to be since he was born!

And as John said: This is the Christian´s legacy.....

  • wow this clip gives me the goosebumps every time i watch it.........amazing

  • don't forget the great man George Adamson in the footage too..

  • this is so beautiful..i cryed because i was so happy that he remembered his caretakers. some people may think tha felines have no emotions (unlike dogs) but this goes to show that feline are loving..even those wild ones..this is beautiful and glad it had a happy ending..and that christian is now fully integrated in the wild with his family. and for once had that beautiful connection with humans that showed him love and vise versa..absolutely amazing.

  • Christian WAS integrated. He is dead by now, as lions only live 10-15 years in the wild.

  • he is such a special lion that everyone would love to be friend with..

but i think most lion just see us as their meal :S

  • Yey! I get to leave the first comment. This is such a great interview and I love the video. I still cry because I'm so happy when I watch it.
