Hooray I bought the series! Boo I don't know how to rip it. I'm wary of using the free dvd rippers I find online; tried them but i dont think they work very well. So just to be clear....is getting a capture card the best way to rip my dvds? I love my new series, so I don't want to damage it or something with some online ripper.

Know of any ways to get video from VHS? I wanted to try something with Digimon and you can't find ANY DVDs for them. I figured I'd have to buy something to convert it over and it would be super-complicated and not worth it.

@ClaustrophobicSmile a video capture card can capture the video data from your VCR. You can find these at Best Buy or Circuit City. I suggest either a Dazzle or Ruxio VCR Recorder. You can also use these devices to record video games or dvds

I've been hoping to make a toradora abridged or S.O.S brigade abridged series. I know there are some good ones out there, but I just feel they aren't right for me. I don't really have anyone else to help me with the voice acting unless my brothers are willing to join, which is unlikely, and I'm not the best voice actor. Do you think you could give me some good tips on how I could start off and find voice actors. Also I have a monitor integrated mic, will that do?

In audacity: after you finish your voicing, leave about 5-10 seconds of silence at the end. Highlight the last bit where there's no voicing, go to effects and select 'Noise Removal' and then click get noise profile. After this all you do is select the whole thing with ctrl+a and then use the same effect again with ctrl+r. That should clean up the entire thing. Check out MasakoX's 'How to Voice Act' videos called 'MasaVox' on blip.tv

there's two things you can do:

1. delete the audio track in your video editing software

2. convert the video and make sure that in your video converter you turn audio off

what u need to do is not care what people think if it's that big of fear to you, you always have the option of disabling comments and ratings on your videos. No matter what you do people will be there to say "this sucks" or "this is stupid" because not everyone likes what you like, once you accept that then you'll be fine

you have to "render": files to save them as video files the sony vegas files are project files so you don't "convert" them per save it's more so saving the video
