  • I heard that disturbed in there :D haha, btw, thanks for the vid, gunna go buy some !

  • hey my friend ,i have the same snare head and dont hear the same why ?

  • :38 seconds is Ten Thousand Fists

  • Is this just the heads being mic'd up or do they really sound this good?

  • @xPoNyxCaRnAgEx the heads are miced the bass is triggered i assume. that red think there looks like a pearl trigger theyre pretty good.

  • @sammagehtsnoch Thanks, I just picked out my heads last night, I went with Evans G2's

for my toms and a Remo Powerstroke 3 for my snare

  • Dude, can you PLEASE tell me how to tuned those or what you tuned them to. I'm picking up these heads soon and they sound awesome. help me out please?

  • BTW, the whole kit sounds like the one used in Diabolus in Musica by Slayer. Or maybe I'm deaf. Hahaha

  • I'm finding the ideal Remo head. Now that I have heard the Pinstripes, I feel like buying it. Eh, how much did you pay for it for each? They sound heavy as fuck.

  • i do not like the sound at all they sound like i took a poop on them jajaja jk

  • sounds like harley davidson.

  • Great sounding kit and nice chops, i recommend changing some settings on the recording when you record your snare, it sounds like a hip hop snare in this recording.

  • LOVING THAT MEGABELL. I hope like hell Agean can make me a 22" Mega Bell ride. That would be sick. =D

  • cunt fuck i love it how do you get that sound outta your heads? i have pinstripes too and i dont know how to get a sound like that also i just got the drums a few days ago so i really needa figure this out :p

  • Your heads are tuned reaaaally low.

  • Snare and bass drum head?

  • That is deff 10000 fists. only thing different is that 1 extra snare hit

  • Hey guys a question what is the better type of drum heads for the Toms

    Evans G2 or Remo Pinstripe?

  • @blestdrummer well, if you want heads that are kind of more muffled go with the Pinstripes. If you want a more open tone that resonates and rings more, go with the G2s.

  • from the bottom of the drums also have these strings remo pinstripe clear ???

    please answer quickly !!

  • snare*

  • What sbare r u using?

  • personally, i wouldn't have the E rings on them!!

  • Pinstripes are for people who cant tune drums. Its pretty much just a 'pre-muffled' drum head if that makes sense. BUT... you put dampening rings on the toms aswell!!! No wonder they sound like cardboard boxes! Watch some drum tuning videos on youtube and get some tips

  • Sounds terrible! Toms sound like cardboard box! No resonance, sound too loose too! Tune toms higher...

  • What's the bass drumhead

  • is that a z3 mega bell ride i see?

  • WHat Bass Head are u using???

  • Great sound!!

  • My god man, this remo heads, i really need to fuckin get 'em!!

  • It seems strange.... only Pintripe and e-rings for a sound so blocked :- /

  • @manubestdrummer98

thats why it sounds so badass haha

  • Trigger or mic in the bass drum?!!

  • @abrBH trigger... trigger .... .... DDrum trigger with alesis dm6 module ... :O

  • @manubestdrummer98 What is your DAW?!!.. and your interface hehe! :)!, nice sound in the bass drum (Y)!

  • @abrBH :D

  • Ho wait ..... what drums use?? :DD xD

  • and what use for resonant ??please reply

  • what use for the bass drum ????

  • You have pinstripe at the toms! but what heads do you use on the snare and on the bass drum??

  • do the new ambassadors sound the same as the stock heads?

  • what tom heads do you have on bottom

  • @o0who0o0o he says in the description

  • what are your tom resonant heads?

  • Sounds like cardboard.

  • Would you recommend the Remo Pinstripe drum heads?

  • @Titanik14 Fuck yes. Pinstripes are badass for metal.

  • what china cymbal is that????? like that sound......is it a wuhan???

let me know the brand of cymbal and size

    thanks

  • I hope you all know that there is no right or wrong when it comes to ones drumset, some of you think the heads sound horrible while others love it, and if he muffles it, who cares? Its his set and i personally like that heavy/punchy sound. Just wanted throw this out there

  • bro that definately not how u toon pinstripe tom heads

  • what's that crash cymbal your using

  • Comment removed

  • the snare sounds weird..well..in my opinnion

  • the fuck?! the bell on the ride !!

  • I've read goo things about these heads. My current heads are remo weatherkings and I'm think of upgrading to pinstripes. I mostly play 90's alternative (eg smashing pumpkins, stone temple pilots) classic rock (rolling stones) and 2000's indie (the black keys) what do you think?

  • OMFG WHAT A HUGE BELL ON YOUR RIDE!

  • how the hell do you make your toms sound so amazing? perfect muffling for my type of sound

  • i love that heads! im gonna buy it now!

  • the toms sounds great. and theres nothing wrong with self muffeling. it saves you money, but some people can screw it up by doing it wrong. they sound somewhat dead but not terrible.

but the snare. that does need some work. It sounds like you're hitting paper. but this sounds great.

  • whoa! sick skills and drums, man! how did you tune your toms like that?!

  • how do you not like disturbed. you played one of their songs in this video.

  • I personally LOVE his tom sound!!

  • i think the toms sound sick? dampened joey jordison soundin, heavy metal shit...

  • @mitek9 Are you fucking kidding me? lol the sound is awesome!

  • gay

  • DEAD TOMS

  • how can u not like disturbed, there badass

  • @SAGITARIO82JG

    no, Disturbed are fucking shite

  • @livingdeadbeatuk haha i agree, they seem to be losing fans and it dont help that they haven't released an album in a while

  • @livingdeadbeatuk dude whether you meant to or not, that was the intro to 10,000 fists.

  • @livingdeadbeatuk no, ur fucking shite, disturb kick ass!!

  • @livingdeadbeatuk sorry,I can't find infos about the bass-drum...what mic and heads have you used?

  • @SAGITARIO82JG

Music is taste is very subjective, I don't like disturbed either, but you still like them.

  • Im sort of new at drums, but im thinking of replacing my Pearl DrumHeads(toms and snare), but not the Resonant heads, the other ones, and im thinking of Remo because they're not as expensive as Evans, so please tell me if with the REMO Pinstripe you just need one of those Rings(you have Evans's E-ring i Have the Remo ones) to "cut" all those overtones and make a quick sound????

Im looking for that quick tom sound and i need your help

    Thanks, and great solo, 5/5

  • @joaoa13portugal Remo pinstripe are very tuneable and you can get a very nice open articulate sound from them if they are tuned properly without damping, unlike these drums which sound like plastic buckets, they are way over dampened with no tone, if thats your thing then muffle them but if you want to take away the "slap" from the stick go for coated heads. i recommend evans g2 coated no damping for a punchy but tuneful sound, and swap you pearl top heads to the bottom if they are still new.

  • Nice mullet

  • Sounds horrible, Thanks for making this I know never to buy pinstripes now.

  • nice z custom ride!

  • gotta hit the china more often!!

  • tell me everything about your bassdrum sound please

    if you use triggers?

    how you tuned them?

    what heads you use?

and anything more i havent mentioned

    please i love that sound

    thankyou

    jordan

  • @DANnJORDAN powerstroke 3 slam pad. tune them till they start just start to resonate, then maybe a little higher.

  • now i know what heads im gettin next hahah these heads rule

  • Hello, is the bass drum head a Pinstripe too?

    Greetings

  • @Funkmasterfons clear powerstroke 3.

  • I now have a headache.

  • great playing but horrible kit

  • @IronCobraKid nope, its a fucking lovely kit

  • @livingdeadbeatuk then my does it sound like wet cardboard

  • @IronCobraKid

Because your speakers are broken and you fail at life

  • @livingdeadbeatuk dude i have 120 buck logitech surround sound. you just need to tune your drums

  • @IronCobraKid

this video was made like 2 and a half years ago with no alterations made to the audio content. I didnt give a shit then. I dont give a shit now.

    Get over it

  • dude did you use compressor or anything on the toms? is this virgin recording or is it tweaked?

  • @uhoh38125

nope. nothing. just played and recorded. I didnt even set the levels on the mics back then because i didnt have a proper mixer, it just went straight into the computer

  • @livingdeadbeatuk

what pedal are you using in this video?

  • @uhoh38125 He uses bass triggers

  • dude, let me get this straight. you use remo pinstripe heads and u put an e ring on the heads. and thats all u do to get that sound? i've been trying to years to get that deep toned sound without a lot of resonance. so is that all u do? along with correct tuning.

  • @livingdeadbeatuk can you show me how to tune the toms that way? i have remo pintripe too

  • that snare is way to muffled yo...but good solo :)

  • Ladies and gentelman I think he is using a z custom zildjian mega bell ride and a z custom crash

  • nice drumming man. what kind of ride is that? and do you have the tama stock head as the reso for every tom? thanks

  • sweet drumming man. what kind of ride is that? and do all of your toms have the tama stock for reso?

  • do the drum mics do a lot for how you want it sound man?? cuz I have these same heads with Remo resonant heads as well and they don't sound this amazing haha!!

  • wtf is up with your crash? anyway i love the way they sound nice metal sound

  • dude that was amazing. how do you get that tom sound mine sound horrible

  • wow kit sounds great, gave me some good ideas for some solos too :)

  • what kind of ride is that

  • The bell on that ride is sweet

  • Woaah nice heads I have also ordered these?

Just wondered what bass drum heads have you used here?

    For Batter and Resonant?

  • how many times did you turn the key to to tune it

  • can you please tell me what head you use for your bass it sounds like god!

  • What sizes are your toms?

  • @Metallimaniac95

    12, 13 and 16

  • @Metallimaniac95 Awesome! mine are too!

  • Comment removed

  • hey man what do you tune your toms and bass drum to with the drum dial? i want that badass sound it killer your amazing! what do you use as your resonant head?

  • @NICKELBAG25 in this video its somewhere between 65-80 for each tom, i cant quite remember, and the kick drum is triggered so the tuning is irrelevant :)

reso head is Tama stock head as ive stated before

  • @livingdeadbeatuk ok man thanks alot!! i'm a pretty bad tuner and just got a drum dial and a whole set of remo pinstripe heads so i'm going 2 tune them somewhere in that range then.thanks again.

  • BADASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! man your killer i'm a good drummer my self but i have the most hardest time tuneing my drums so i use a drum dial/tuner and i wanted 2 know what number range do you tune your TOMS AND BASS DRUM to to get such a killer sound?

  • dude wtf.

    bad ass man.

do you have your batter heads tuned low or high?

same with the resonants: low or high tuning? an if so how tight or loose?

  • the best sounding toms iv ever heard !!! do they sound differant without the E-rings ?

  • holy hell

  • what brand/line of double bass pedal are you using?

  • a pair of Pearl Eliminators PT-122W

  • @livingdeadbeatuk nice, thanks.

  • hey nice drumming

  • that ride cymbal has an immense bell. sweet,

  • Sick dude! I also have Tama Imperial Star.. and am getting Remo Pinstripes.. going to keep the resonant heads stock for now. But it's essentially the same sets then , haha. How'd you like your drumset with those heads w/stock resonant? I know you have new stuff now, but I'm still making my decision :P

    Thanks!

  • mir persöhnlich zu schlapp angezogen

  • How do you tune your toms?

  • i use a drum dial

  • kurt 247 i also have pinstripes with remo e rings on my toms , it does muffle them a lot but i can honestly say they sound better than without the rings. And when you want to open them up all you do is take the rings off. Personally i think the rings sound good even on a muffled head. Especially on the floor tom!

  • gotta love that cardboard tom sound :P

  • You should never muffle self-muffled heads, your making them sound dead.

  • @XxKurt247Xx what do you mean by muffle?

  • @heavymetal999 The Remo Pinstripe heads already have a dampening agent ( the 'pinstripe' ) to reduce the overtones to get the perfect sound, but if you muffle ( evans e rings, rem O's,etc ) you would just get rid of the resonance/overtones almost complete and it will just kill the tone. Better muffling solutions would be to use MoonGels as they dont kill the tone even on self muffled heads, where as evans e rings just kill it and actually hurt the tone if left on the drums for too long.

  • @XxKurt247Xx not true. i use pinstripes with e rings too, and mine sound great, must be his tuning. and you need muffling for floor toms, no matter what anyone says, self muffled or not

  • @heavymetal999 You don't need any muffling *if you tune them right*

  • And how many mics do you heve, because on the aleáis multimix 4 you cannot plug a lot of mic.. Or not?

  • can you tell me the brand and model of your mixer? and explain me how did you connected it to the pc to record? thanks

  • Alesis MultiMix 4 USB. And through the USB to recording software package

  • ten thousand fists at :40?

  • Hey man what do you hook the mics to? A speaker? An amp?

  • A mixing desk synced with the video

  • they sound amazing :O

  • can anyone tell me if i should get these or evans EC2's?i want the toms to be more dampened (i will add the e-rings)

  • Pinstripe with ebony. For what your looking for, godly.

  • gorgeous

  • u have to no that mics make em sound alot more better trust me ino from facts and ino from gigs but u can still get toms to sound like that with no mics

  • my drums sound amazing in person, but when i record they sound like shit, but its just because i have shitty mics, plus when I EQ them it sounds real good so w/e haha

  • Man i have 6ply poplar shells with remo pinstripes too and i cannot get them too sound like that!

  • Those E-Rings look like they are part of the drum head :-/. But I know that they are totally separate. Don't they bounce about when you play?

  • nope, they are designed to remain completely still with each strike.

The most they do is occassionally rotate over time

  • ok thanks :)

  • dude ur great lol my lil bro is a drummer check out our band scarlet descending lol he is thinking about gettin done of those heads lol

  • how much euros is that? :)

  • no idea

  • ok... now realy last question:)... how much are that rings for drums and is better to have toms and rings on it

  • better to experiment

and they are about 3 pounds each

  • aha ok... :( i am a little disapointed.. when you play on toms and bass drum together do you hear bass drum... because when i hit on toms and bass together i dont hear bass on my set... but are you happy with pinstripe? or are you a little disapointed? by the way do you have msn? i dont want to ask you all on you tube on msn is faster :).. write back

  • pls write back quick

  • i hear a clear combination of both, you may have your kick drum to muffled or tuned too tight on the reso head. i have mine half to quarter full of pillows and shit, with the batter headtuned tight and the reso head not as tight. and im completely happy with my Pinstripes, i still have them and they still sound great to this day.

  • ok.. just one more question... is better to have tama imperial star or is better to sell them and buy pearl export (black)?

  • Tama

    Definately

  • i have a pearl forum series same thing as an export i love them but tamas are sweet

  • forum aint the same as an export:S?

  • they are very close

  • negative broo.

forum is an entry level kit dude.

export is more similiar to the vision series.

  • ACTUALLY they are pretty much the same. poplar shells. 6 ply.

  • cool... i have it too... but i have the basic drum heads.. sounds very bad.. you have pinstripe.. is sound much better with them or sounds great only because of mics? please answer

  • both :P
