I would imagine the seahorses died for a couple of reasons. 1 they do not live in coral reefs in nature. They occur in the shallow areas with lots of grasses to hide in and cling to. 2 They are almost impossible to get to feed in captivity. They have a very special diet and will only eat live food. I have tried several times to keep seahorses and was never successful not matter what I tried.
I have kept seahrses for over 20 years with no problem......my tip is to make sure your calcium levels are high because they have an exoskeleton made from pure calcium. Feed them mysis shrimp for its high protien levels, Brine shrimp only will not have the proper nutritonal value needed for them................check my videos out.......................Chris

How many gallons is this tank? The recommended size for a group of these is at least 50 gallon. This tank looks like it was too small, which is a possible reason (might not be) of their death.
They were both doing fine, but before they both died (month between deaths), they each had a white bump on their tail. Probably a sting from the frogspawn in the aquarium.
the seahorses died a while back, I now have two saddleback clownfish in the tank. I might make a vid of this updated aquarium and the larger one because they are both a lot nicer now!!!!111
Did your LPS' sweeping tentacles not sting your seahorses? I am thinking about seahorses when I am more experienced but I thought you had to keep LPS corals well away...

Well it depends on the size of the bubble tip anemone and how you take care of it. The biocube doesn't have a skimmer, it doesn't need one, but it has a wet/dry filter in the back. Anemones can be put in a 20 gallon. I don't have an anemone and don't insist on geting one, they sting corals and can kill them. Yes seahorses can be placed with clowns and gobies, they are not aggresive feeders.
never ever ever!!!!!! put an annenome in a 8 gallon bio cube i did that i got it wen it was a baby but that thing just kept growing and growing!!!! it killed my pulsing xenia, and ate my fish and stung all my other corals if u were to get 1 i wood put it in a 30 gallon or more but never nanos!!!! and beside u shoudnt get one because u wood put it in the corner of ur tank away from thne corals and they move!

I have to do water changes every week though, and when it grows bigger, Im planning on putting it in the bigger tank.

Thats because you need to get tank-bred seahorses. They will eat frozen foods. Mine ate frozen foods as well.

How many gallons is this tank? The recommended size for a group of these is at least 50 gallon. This tank looks like it was too small, which is a possible reason (might not be) of their death.
