I really appreciate the passion for the game of the speaker in the video. I understand why you are down, but man there is nothing to be ashamed of for Canada. Canada has won its major battles in the hockey history and what's more is the current holder of the Olympic gold, that is the measuring stick in the world of pro hockey.  So man pick yourself up and keep your head up, well at least for the next three years be4 Sochi, at which time I hope Buttman will allow NHLers to participate.

Wake up. Canada has not been a hockey power since the 1970's. The NHL lost its prestige after that year long strike and when cry baby Lindros destroyed the whole concept of the draft system . Good bye Canada and welcome to the future.

It was definitely dissapointing but what can we say? Russia outplayed Canada plain and simple.. they showed they were the better team that night and all Canadians are dissapointed..

But honestly I feel bad for Team Canada. How do you think the kids on that team feel?

Also Canada couldve had 7 players from the NHL back but the NHL is much more of a business. Canada was the better team just way too much home crowd pressure.

Dude, it wouldn't be so bad if the game had gone back an forth kinda thing and that Russia ended up being the ones to take it or if Russia had dominated the whole thing.......but come on.... 3 - 0 ?????? That to me is what makes it soooooo....... arrrggghhh !! Like you said Russia does deserve the win, it's just that Canada should have held on better...... or at least scored another goal or two as well,,,, just sayin.....

hi dman; i am 'canadian', but was happy to see the guys lose last year, and this year: why? couple of guys on last years team, i remember, as being blood thirsty pricks; when i see that mentality, which i hadn't seen on previous teams, i hope they lose; this year, when i saw that idiot couch go ballistic after the blatant head shot, my sentiments were the same; i hope these assholes lose; give me a team of stamkos type personalities & skills, not only will i rout for them, but, they will win

Well it's hard to win when all your best play guys in the NHL (Hall, Seguin, Kane, Duchene, O'Reilly, Skinner) and the russian got their KHL guys.... But the coaching staff did an awful job.

I was shocked as I'm sure the rest of the Nation was. 5 Goals, 3 in 5 mins 2 of which were in 45 secs apart. Most other nations would be happy with Silver but up here in Canada its Gold or nothing when it comes to Hockey and I'm sure that how our boys felt out there. Still can't get over it 5 goals
