what kind of spear tip did you have to came off you pole spear when you shot the fish and the rop what was it cause i been pulled by a fish for 35 yeard and it heard to swim with a current back to the beach
Finkjor123, I have seen guys who use regular sling shafts drilled to accept mono, etc which is in turn attached to a float line. Not simple as drilling a shaft isn't too easy, but it can be done.
Amazing video, thank you for all that you do!!!!! From a local so. Cal fisherman to another, keep up the good work, I spend endless hours watching your videos one by one. I am all rod and reel but plan on getting into spear fishing very soon.
Hey Cam, that sea stinger seems to be treating you well.... just picked one up for a bimini trip. I noticed you using a float line to the band, but where was the spear when you pulled in the cobia?
Amaizing, it's rare to see many many cobia, barracuda and great amberjack at
the same time under a oil rig, it's fun to hunting the cobia, they looks like a shark, especially when they are enormous. and the video quality was just wonderfull.
Anyone know how to get one of those cords that you attach to the spear so you don't lose it

@zachcapp It's called a floatline. You attach it to a bungee and then attach that to a float.

@HammerheadGunz yea i have a "sliptip" on my shitty fiberglass spear but not like that. Is the tip directly connected to the floatline?

How did you attach the floatline to the spear? When you pulled the fish up the spear was gone, what happened?
