  • A girl @ school keeps asking me if she could look in my bag only once I let her see my bag but I'm like WTF!?!?! Cuz she asks me everyday (no she doesn't steal anythin I wud know) & I keep saying no but she won't stop omg!

  • I'm really having problems saying NO. For most of the time or the 1st time they ask, 93% of my answer is YES. LOL! Then after a few minutes or an hour I would then regret saying YES wish I just said NO. How do I deal with  this?

    Fortunately...they are....Lets hope that never changes....If the majority of people ever developed the level of self esteem and confidence that is required to say NO to the things they know they should say NO to...The economy would tank completely...think about it for a minute.

    I believe its just the basic roots of business strategy

    True deception can bring you money if the customer is some how stupid

    But really is humanity better with fools and intelligent deceivers ?

    Humanity is not better off with fools in the mix...But the economy is..Americans are conditioned from birth to be over consumers for that reason....Deception is not required when selling things to people who make poor decisions....You may consider preying upon such people as dishonest...I dont see anything wrong with it.....Everything in nature is based on the balance between predator and prey...The sheep have their place in circle of life.

  • I highly recommend Getting Past No, The Power of A Positive No and his other book. If a person is sincerely working on mastering relating with other people, his work can be helpful.

    What Ury could do is express more clearly why learning his technique are so important, as he does in his book. You can apply what you learn whether you are a world leader, a parent or a spouse in a troubled relationship.

    No book is going to get you a job.

    If you can not ace a job interview after 4 years of college you are a complete idiot anyway and should ask the University for a refund. What the hell were you paying for?

  • Here is some advice for all the young people just starting their careers.

    Make sure you are out of corporate America before you are 38. Start a bake shop, a bicycle shop, anything, as long as you are out of the corporate environment and into your own business doing something.

    When you leave the corporate environment make sure you take the client lists especially if you developed it.

    If you are not an Officer or Manager after three years leave the company and move on.

  • I have it. It is pretty good. The logic and reasoning behind everything is explained with clear examples so i find that effective. Everything in his book is basically common sense that we dont use, and he just reveals it to us and makes us more aware of what we can do in negotiating
