  • I'm having a really hard time getting anywhere with my tricking because as a female, things don't always work the same way as they do for guys. No one seems capable of teaching me anything despite the fact that I'm generally athletic enough (I'm a gymnast) and a good learner (when I've been taught by teachers who understand female anatomy). Any suggestions?

    It really depends on how far into tricking are you. Starts are usually the hardest part, after two years or so, tricking turns into a lifestyle =)

    It is actually Tricking. It isn't strictly a traditional martial art, but it derives from traditional martial arts obviously. Also, if you have heard of XMA, that is also defined as such. XMA = E'X'treme Martial Arts. Martial art styles that are the most similar to it would be something like capoiera, or in some places, Tae kwon do.
