Rizwan is part of the problem not part of the solution. The statistics he flaunts are false. He also forgot 2 mention that there have been ~15-20 cells plotting to carry out terrorist acts and that the majority of these were British Citizens of Pakistani Background like himself. If he was genuine in his quest to defend freedoms and fight the evolving police state in Britain, he would champion all types of freedoms and denounce sharia and those who kill to propagate its steady takeover of society

@MajNikonfan Rizwan is not the first person nor the last person to fall victim to police incompetence. There are hundreds of people who experience mishaps under varying circumstances. Most people are not awarded $39,000 per week of detention/investigation so he should keep in mind that the generous sum offered and accepted by him was partly in order to make evident that there is no witch hunt against muslims in UK. Him making a career out of his ordeal opens a window to how he detests Britain.

@MajNikonfan Rizwan ignores the inconvenient fact that there are dozens of radical muslims in England who are potential suicide bombers. Listening to him one would think that British Democracy is made up of racist bigots at the highest echelons who only want to make muslim lives miserable. @MajNikonfan Sharia is already overriding British Law! There are 80+ Sharia Courts in the UK. If both litigants agree to abide by the Sharia Court ruling, it becomes law - even whence it contradicts the law of the land! I am not saying he must denounce Sharia but to ignore the obvious linkage between the terrorist threat and sharia compliance and to pretend these ignorant people who caused him his week long ordeal have no motivation besides hatred to muslims is pathetic and typical!

It is sufficient that he acknowledges that sharia compliant muslims of backgrounds similar to his own have a much higher propensity to commit a terrorist act than otherwise. This in turn may be the reason he suffered a long week ordeal - due to fear not racism. The ignorant usually have good instincts and every 10 year old in Britain is aware that most muslim Britons consider that the end justifies the means and are antagonistic to society

Rizwan's sacrifice was 7 days in a spotless cell, given 4 hearty meals a day compliments of the British tax Payer (which he consequently never paid a penny for!). After receiving an apology and $39,000 he goes on a global campaign to show that the British Justice System and the (still) non islamic GREAT BRITAIN are all bad and persecuting muslims. @popacapnyoass That wasn't a settlement I don't think. It believe it was what a judge or jury rewarded him. When that happens, you are relying on one person or a small group of people to award the damages, and from what I understand in the UK they tend to be stingy with awards, especially on cases like this. They don't want to set a precedent of high value awards against this type of thing where most of them ignorantly think somehow it is an act against the Queen or something like that.

@popacapnyoass Hey man, the system screws us into the ground, time to take a little back for once. Every time you go to court, just think of it this way. The judge is pretty much a bank that never gives back what you put in. Shit I missed jury duty and completely spaced it. Cops came to my work, and took me to jail on a Friday. Couldn't find a bondsman and if I didn't get one before the days over I had to spend the weekend... Lucky one was available after business hours... 300 fuckin dollars.
