  • what store is that at 6:30?

  • Oh, Sherlock... you trolling man you...

  • "Thank you Watson. Capital notion!" Love :D

  • I always feel sad when Watson says that Holmes is detained in London.

  • Love Dr Whatsons camouflaged jacket and tie. haha

  • am I the only one who think Holmes looks better in black? ^^

  • damn Holmes really sounded like a

  • I say THUMBS DOWN to this holmes. I like Rathbone where he always encouraged Watson.

  • @gfhrsbsgroupie but REAL Holmes put Watson down whenever he can. And that ACTUALLY appears in the book.

  • @LadyOndyne

Not whenever he can... Only sometimes xD. The most of times Holmes is friendly with Watson.

But yes... In "The Solitary Ciclist" story and "The Hound of the Baskervilles" novel he was very arrogant xD. But not always he was.

    (Sorry for my bad English).

  • @alguien1234 Yeah, but it was such a hobby to him. I didn't mean being a bad··s, but just making Watson feel like if Holmes was superior to all-and him, of couse. Just like if Watson is going, Holmes has gone and is turning back.

    Ok, then, so Spanish, French....?

  • @LadyOndyne

After reading the books, I had the impression that Holmes is very proud, egocentric and even jealous. And he competes with Watson sometimes because he likes to nag him, BUT I understood it more as "" mischief "" than as an attempt to be really cruel to him, because Holmes also is very flattering to Watson often.

    I'm Spanish. And you?

  • @alguien1234 También!! XD But in Internet I prefer to speak in English XD

Me he inspirado, aque si? XD

  • @LadyOndyne

XD

  • @gfhrsbsgroupie

Doyle's Holmes (the only ""real"" Holmes for me) was bad or good with Watson depending of his frame of mind. Well, he was friendly with Watson the most of times, but sometimes the opposite.

    (Sorry for my bad English).

  • the man on the cycel is her employer! open and shut !

  • What song was she playing? Does anybody know?

  • 9:25, uh oh, that old priest is gonna get slapped with a RWI (Riding While Intoxicated) by the village bailiffs, rofl xD

  • dont blame him, shes pretty fit

  • Holmes, don't be a bitch.

    xD

  • "Thank you Watson, capital notion."

  • marvelous acting,high bbc quality.

    love the perfect spoken english.

    real good feature,thanks for uploading

  • at least once Holmes agreed with Watson that the female client was lovely...a major progress for Holmes, given how he didn't notice Mary Morstan's charms in the Sign of Four. This story is in Return in the Canon so Holmes has mellowed and become wiser!

  • Dr. Watson: "Did I really do remarkably badly?"

    Sherlock Holmes: "Yes."

Poor Watson! He was only trying to help!

  • lol...Watson is freaked out by Holmes's super sonic hearing at 8:39. Gotta love these two. They were the quintessential Holmes and Watson.

  • god, i love his side smile, and those eyes. oh JB, JB.... *sigh*

watson hididng is so funny. he doesnt know what he's doing, lol

oh, come on, she could call out to him, or something! he's stalking you, woman. you have the right to talk to a stranger.... ¬¬

cah, holmes could've taught him how to be holmes before he wasted his time, eh holmes? poor watson. its all your fault, sherlie! 'did i really did remarkably badly?' 'yes!' oh, you're so kind.

dont mock, holmes, he reads minds.

  • nice boobs

  • I wonder if they are period accurate withthe costumes? In The Speckled Band, homes wears a light blue suit and hat that I question. I've seen other period movies with the cut of a dress low but not this low. It's embarassing to look at! / The hairdressers in this series I hope got got of awards. Beautifully done and unique.

  • Holmes is really the best in this series^^

like the part where he was rude against watson,

that infects the fact that holmes just like how sir conan doyle ment wasn't an easy person.. he was very complicated and living in his own world^^

  • Watson: do you think she is in danger?

    Holmes: oh yes

  • I feel so sorry for Watson..

    but 8:29 made me laugh!

  • I've never seen such an incredible acting performance in my life, I'm at a loss for words..

  • @WaysideFlower I have seen some that *were* somewhat low cut, and some that were much less so. I imagine that women had some measure of choice in the matter. Just an observation. ;-)

  • @ibtnm25 Holmes was a bit of an ass, when the mood came upon him.

  • Man, those are a lot a misoginist comments. And for a moment I kind of forget I was still on YouTube.

  • Aww, poor Watson XD Holmes can be such an ass, as much as I love him....

  • I love David Burke as Watson. He seems so kindhearted and gentle. :-)

  • If she doesnt want attention she should stop wearing dresses that push her boobies up.

  • @Banminator yeah that's what I was thinking... she's practically asking for it!!

  • So are you saying that it's her fault that she's being stalked? It sounds like the "she wanted it but I rejected her" argument defendants use against charges of acquaintance rape.

You also have to look at the fashion of the time.

But seriously, though, it is NOT her fault.

  • "Ah good afternoon, landlord, may I have half a pint of your local ale please"

I'll say that next time i'm in the pub

  • Dr Watson got really owned at 7:15!!

  • One thing i don't understand...how did she cycled all the way from Farnham to Baker Street on the first scene. She must be an Olympic champion !!

  • no...she took cycle inside the train and travelled.....

  • When??, she does not get into any train...there is no scene or shot atleast??

  • @SV2609 ... see part 1....dialogue at 3:40....

  • she carried it on the train. lol

  • New quest: Go to the pub!

    Poor Watson.

  • dAts Really a Good job. But i would be better if u have title as

sherlock holmes and the solitary cyclist part 3/6

    instead of

sherlock holmes and the solitary cyclist part 3

so we could understand better that how many parts are left and we can follow only ur links

AnyWays THnks for Uploading Some Good Stuff

  • good idea!

  • poor watson!! he really does try.

  • Would victorian people have kept pets? Like a cat or something?

  • Yeah, sure =p

  • hahahahaha

  • I need say first and foremost that a low bodice in the evening was a staple of nineteenth century fashion. However, I daresay the costumers were a tad too enthusiastic about the decolletage.

Further, Miss Smith is quite a clever young lady. I would not have thought to try to turn the tables on the cyclist myself.

  • She is clever. I probably would have yelled at him or something, which might not have helped at all.

  • wow 19th century England here I come

  • omg yes! I thought i was the only one who thought that!! He must be Atkinson's doppelganger!!

  • But I forgive him.

  • Thanks for uploading and I love violets low cut outfit it just makes a man stand to attention no wonder everyguy in the village proposes marriege or at least sex he he

  • dear friend, do not commit yourself to rashness because you are temporarily depressed.

    :p

  • poor Watson, waiting for many hours and the when he asked Holmes " Did I really do badly?", he recieved immediatly "YES!"

  • he does stop a horse in part 4. Holmes says ' good man.'

  • Capital notion!

  • Her dresses are really low cut. Not the way to avoid attention from lecherous louts

  • @ShawDAMAN totally agree

  • @ShawDAMAN

that was the style (especially for evening wear) but heaven forbid a lady show her legs.

  • @enodiaofthestar haha funny point.

  • @ShawDAMAN especially not with a push up bodice and a heaving porcelain white bosom whilst sitting at a piano by candlelight to emphasise the shadows of a deep cleavage...oops...got carried away there..

  • @fauxsham breathe, my friend...take a deep breath o.0

  • Lmao, no wonder Holmes has only one friend.. Watson!

  • Snarky, bitchy Holmes = love.

    I admire Watson's patience tho...must be trying 24/7.

  • Thank you Watson! Capital notion.

    Love that XD

  • That is hilarious.

  • Poor Watson. Holmes just tells the brutal truth.

    *huggles*

  • dude that's awsome!!!!!1

  • Drunk horse riding! Someone should take his reins.

  • 7:09.Poor Watson. But Sherlock Holmes is the best.

  • Yeah! I almost flinched when he asked, "did I really remarkably badly?" and Holmes said, "...yes!" Poor guy!

  • Can't people just watch this without some perversion or suicidal talk entering in? You all really know how to watch an entertaining series! Try praying without ceasing sometime. It really works!

  • for real.

  • LOL, poor Watson. Sherlock is just brutal.

  • ouch. poor Watson... XD i gotta agree with Holmes, tho. i certainly wouldve chosen some near spot in the tree line, at the very least

  • or used a spyglass or a pair of binoculars at the very least

  • Yeah, but you have to agree, his insults are what gives him his humor.

    Holmes needs his sarcasm.

  • Sorry, but Holmes perfectly right about Watson's hiding place.

  • LOL holmes is so evil with watson like house to wilson

  • Poor Watson. He tries so hard. XD

  • :D

    hell yeah

  • Basil and Brett are the best Holmes

  • "Did I really do remarkably badly?"

    "...Yes."

This is one of my favorite episodes of SH, written and in the TV series; this one,

"A Scandal in Bohemia," and "The Speckled Band" are a few of my favorites.

And Brett and the two Watsons of this series are the best, Brett is the best Holmes- can I get this on DVD somewhere?

  • Amazon has them. Probably any site that sells DVDs, or you could special order it maybe from Borders.

  • I got the whole series right out of 221B Baker Street in London, Brett and the Basil Rathborne series but I guess Amazon could be cheaper. Brett is the best though.

  • There's so much gorgeous scenery in the SH episodes, it makes me want to relocate to England. I love those thin, tall trees. Does anyone know where this particular episode was shot?

  • Watson really did learn absolutely nothing. He didn't even notice the guy taking off his beard.

  • poor watson

  • Watsons a doctor, Holmes is the detective!!!

  • Thank you for posting all these Sherlock Holmes videos.

  • women dressed quite nicely back then! she be Hot!!

  • Her yayas are certainly hoisted up to her ears. Its a bit tacky, but certainly noticeable.

  • it was. thats why they called the character house. get it house holmes

  • "no my dear sir don't commit yourself to rashness because you are temporarily depressed."

lol. Holmes is a piece of work.Poor Watson is almost pouting at being scolded for his shoddy bit of detection. love it.

  • "You really think that she is in some danger?"

    "Oh, yes....."

Poor Watson..... Holmes is a little of House here. ^_^ He shouldn't lay into Watson like that, even if it is tough love. :,(

    Poor Carruthers too.

  • "beautiful" "no I don't mean the music" mr carrouthers is kind of a smooth operator

  • What a player he is. It wold probably help his case with Miss Smith, though, if he wasn't getting slapped around like a little girl by Woodley.

  • Oh, I pitied Carrugthers here...poor man. He should have stay with the girl!

  • Brilliant part at 7:25 to 7:40

  • "Did I really do remarkably badly?

    (Wait for it....)

    "Yes!" Exit Holmes

    Brilliant!!

  • I was just about to comment on that as well. My favorite part in this episode!

  • It's not him. It's Ellis Dale.

  • oh.. duh.. *slaps head*

    thanks for explenation

  • lol!

you have FOUR hands?!?! :) (no, i know you only have 2 hands.. lol)

  • arrr

    bless darling watson

he looks really sulky and upset after the critisism. so HANDS up who reeeeallly wanted to give watson a hug at 07:19-07:19

in my case two hands up.. two hands up..

  • Six hands and two feet. Your heads, Person's hands, my hands, and my feet!

  • lol!

    ALrighty THEN

    lolness

  • I would have kicked Holmes in the shin, given Watson a two-armed hug, and then hugged Holmes as well.

  • haha!

    yeah,

  • JB had a killer charm!!!

  • did i do remarkably bad

    Yes

  • Aww, poor Watson.

  • it's brilliant how they snark at one another

  • Lovely Barbara Wilshere!

  • Holmes reminds of me so of Dr. House right now.

"Did I really do remarkably badly?"

    (thinks about it......)

    "Yes!"

  • Dr. House is actually based on Sherlock Holmes! Or, rather, on Dr. Joseph Bell, which is the man whom Holmes was based on.

  • haha, check out watson searching for clues, trying to be sneaky - priceless!

  • holmes is so mean to watson, saying that he did remarkably bad

  • Critisism, my dear Watson, and I do hope you endear it. :D

  • Why does she wear a evening dress that shows so much cleavage?

  • So we can appreciate it.

  • Such lovely cleavage, too!

  • How on earth do you cycle in a dress?? It would get tangled.
