You are simply wrong. Not only do children need one on one relationships with their parents, they need one on one relationships with other adults to feel self confident and healthy. My children are now young adults and 3 of them do not live at home anymore but they continue to need one on one relationships with me. Loving my children continues to take lots of time and thought, but that is what they need.
I'd like to add that in families with many children, those one on one times and heart to heart talks happen, not only with mom and dad at times, but also with siblings. So a child in a large family (with a loving atmosphere) is not lacking in that way, but is instead surrounded by many sources for intimate conversation and growth.
Thanks Sarah. You are so right about the loving atomosphere. I am a mother of 5 and have a loving atomosphere in my house, it works great. Thanks again

you are right on the money Sarah. What you said about a loving environment instead of having 1-on-1 sessions is so right. Thanks.
