No one should ever do a cover of Sublime. The man who sang this was the only man who should sing it. I think anyone who covers someone elses song is taking away from another artist, sing your own songs, simply said. When you sing a dead singers songs, you steal their legacy and try to make it yours, which is robbery.
I am also a fan of sublime and Bradley but I have to disagree with you. I think when someone covers a dead artist song they're not stealing their legacy, instead they are respecting the artist' legacy and simply showing how they appreciate what that artist has done by continuing to spread their words, through song, even after death.

Idol contestants will start to impress me when they learn how to write their own songs...It amuses me that the judges are so out of touch with non-pop music that they say 'wow that's different' when 10+ year old songs that don't get mainstream radio play are performed exactly like the originals by their manufactured performers...

He's pop, he's watered down, he's a "suburban rasta" from Texas. Tiger Beat magazine might give him street credibility, but EVERYONE to come out of American Idol is pop, sorry kids...it's manufactured, it's mainstream, it's pop.

Sublime is borderline pop, do yourself a favor and search for some legitimate reggae artists online, simply smoking ganja and singing with a fake jamaican accent(interesting that he developed the accent in L.A.) doesn't give these people credibility. Sublime gets plenty of mainstream radio play, that's pop(hence the name, "popular"). Castro hails from Texas, even less credibility. And yes, I did come here to criticize him, and got 3 successive posts from your mentally unstable ass, lol....

Not a David(curious george) fan, just making the observation that he's probably gonna win. You wouldn't want Castro to win and get stuck doing some cheesey crap like "a moment like this", or "this is my now" on the finale. Funny that you said to leave you alone after initially commenting on my post 3 times(about 10 instances to date, now), and viewing my profile.
