  • how much did you get for it...my dad had a 64 galaxy 500 with that 260 and a 2spd..

  • @ding0925 $1750

  • man i wish i could of bought this and restored it, i right now have a 06 v6 mustang and it is a sweet ride but im going to buy a mustang that looks as worn down as this and im going to restore it maybe either a 67 or a 69

  • @718mattmatt man get a 67 there a whole lot of fun and in my opinion they look better that the 69-2012 mustangs lol

  • OOOHHH i need those seats for my falcon!

  • @Gigglyable Lol!! you'll have to pick them up in England!!☺

  • @805ROADKING :(

  • Hell, you think THATS Bad?! im restoring a 1970 mustang convertible thats 20 times worse then then that. send me your E-Mail and ill send you some pics. ha, if that should of went to the crusher, mine should be burned

  • how much did you sell that baby for?

  • Man, Why in the hell did you sell this chick magnet to a butter toothed prick in England? Us 17 year olds are looking for a nice ride too ya know!

  • @bloodhoun138 Lol!! There weren't any 17 year old butter toothed pricks in America with the money!!☺

  • @805ROADKING I sure do have the money you old fart.

  • @awesome555111 to tell the difference I look at the rear lights if it is a original "64 1/2" it won't have reverse lights but a 65

    Does.

  • i may be missing something and feel free to correct me if i am but i dont see those gills

  • @awesome555111 Those gills are there, if you look close at 5:31 below the bumper on both sides!!

  • @awesome555111 IF YOUR TALKING ABOUT THE SIDE CROME GILLS BESID THE DOORS THEY ARE CROME PEICES AND THE CARE IS PROLLY JUST MISSING THOSE PARTS.

  • has the radiator support ever been replaced because if not im not sure this is really a 64 1/2 because the 64 1/2 had gills on the support for cooling for the hotter generator as apposed to the cooler alternator in 65 now yeah sure it has lots of little 64 1/2 things like chromeless hood and badges and generator but this is all bolt on stuff this car could have been a extremely common 65 mustang coupe that someone tried to make look like a rare 1964 1/2 possibly in an effort to raise the value

  • I noticed you said a guy in england bought it. Do you know what company he used for transportation/ shipping?

  • @brodiegbr I sent you a PM!!☺

  • My friend just inherited a 1964 Mustang 2+2 from his Grandfathers Death. I never believed him nor am I a Ford lover so i didnt really look into it. but now that I see the one you have has alot of the same components besides the back end I'm starting to believe him

  • @76ChevyC10 That's cool!! Check the serial number, it will tell him when it was made!!☺

  • JEEZUS!!!!!!! whoever got this car is freakin LUCKY!!!!!! *GREEN WITH ENVY* Also the 64 had louvers on the battery vent on the rad support. That's the major difference in years. That things one heck of a rare car!

  • @SuperKONR I didn't know that, but you can see it very clearly in the video I posted last week!!☺

  • I've never seen a mustang with a 260 before lol only the inline 6 and 289. Cool video man !

  • @1972FordF150 Thanks Matt!! They bored out the 260 in 1965 to make the 289!!☺

  • @805ROADKING Wow, I didn't know that lol no problem man !

  • @805ROADKING there also some 65s if there early enough had 260s too.

  • This upload was not in my sub queue! Here we go again.

  • @kookiemoose That happens alot with me and your videos, that means you subscribed to alot of people!!☺

  • @805ROADKING I think it's a glitch, I'm subbed to under 150, many who rarely upload.. I've noticed it only happens with a few of my subscriptions. I've learned to visit channels regularly to combat it. I always get your channels latest upload right away thought. It had been awhile so I checked in, and...

  • wow you sure got a lot of work done in a month of work, learned a few things from your vid

  • @groutaone Thanks Buddy!! What did you learn... Don't get involved with In-Laws!!☺

  • @805ROADKING ha ha , I already knew that one

  • I sold mine for $50. back in 77-78!With the motor blown again!lol

  • @timw1959 I remember back in the 70's picking up alot of nice cars for $50-$75 that are worth $50k- $100k now!!☺

  • Some Major frame and welding you did .

  • @krazy45cat Yeah I definitely had my hands full!!☺

  • Nice stang ROADKING! I just saw another video you had made on this car, you reallty did a ton of work to this! Its great that you had saved it from the crusher buddy!

    Good video!

  • @carnivore10 Thanks Tom!! At least now the average backyard mechanic can finish it now!!☺

  • its coming to the UK, ill keep my eye out for it at shows :)

  • @MO3MINI Yeah Buddy!! I don't remember exactly where in England it's going but I'm sure you guys will do it up right Mate!!☺

  • that car is a classic american icon .

    just like me . lol

  • @500passwords Lol!! I wish I had a garage like you, then I would have kept it!!☺

  • That's what I had for my First car!!The manufacture date was 6/64?Staight 6,3 speed.I rebuilt everything before I got my licence! That's how I wanted to be a mechanic in the first place!!!

  • @timw1959 That's a cool first car!! Mine was a VW Bug :(

  • im glad to see its possible to save a car this far rotted cause my corvairs got bad rot right behind the front wheels and the door hinges are rotted off the bottom hinge

  • @Bobbymitchell10 Anything is restorable, it just depends on how much time and money you want to spend!!☺

  • @805ROADKING yeah it will be some welding but i've figured how i can make it stronger than it was and its easier to do that way but i need to get the steel around first

  • 64 1/2 is the first one made you should fix that thing up and show it , that is awesome. buy your brother out of his half and do it yourself, it's worth it. AWWW MAN... why did you sell it ??? that would be NICE fixed up heck you've already got most of the work knocked out on it. I am NOT a ford guy either but that's a part of American automotive history. that's just sad really.

  • @daddytech He probably would have given me his share. But don't be sad Buddy, I saved it from the crusher. Now at least the average backyard mechanic/bodyman can finish it!!☺

  • @805ROADKING i was just thinking about all the time i spent looking for a project like this when i first started looking for project cars and couldn't find one of those. I actually liked the 64 1/2 because it was the first of the Pony car body's and i don't know how many arguements i got in and won over what the first year of the Mustang was so many that i argued with thought it was the 65 and i had built models of this very year car and looked them up (before the internet) in a book!

  • one more project to cross of the never ending list :)

  • @racer4560 Yeah Buddy!! We have more projects then I have years left to finish them!!☺

  • Dues it still run?

  • @redneckbryon Yeah it runs great, only had 70,000 original miles on it!!☺

  • Some things seem like a good idea at the time and then reality sets in. The next guy should be happy, you already did some of the hardest work. Oh well, now you'll have space to get started on that old Chevy of yours.

  • @RamblinAround Ya got that right Buddy!! I only agreed to do it because my B.I.L. was really stoked, I put two other restos on the back back burner for him!!☺

  • wow you werent kidding it was in bad shape

  • @Needmorehorsepower Yeah, most guys probably would have parted it out!!☺

  • man i hate to see guys have to sell there dreams,i wish i lived closer looked like a fun project

  • @Needmorehorsepower I know what you mean about having a dream car, I restored a 63 vette when I was in my 20's. But I had no emotional attachment to this car. I was glad to see it go, so someone else could have a dream car!!☺

  • @805ROADKING wasnt that the 1 that got stolen after you restored it and it was never recovered?

  • @Needmorehorsepower Yeah Buddy!! Like to rip my little heart out!!☺

  • My cousin used to have a 64.5 Mustang. He wrecked it back in 80. It was cherry too. Too bad you couldn't get it fixed up. They are nice cars.

  • @edzgarage thats what i thought

  • @edzgarage I would like to have finished it, but we only bought it beause my B.I.L wanted me to teach him how to do some bodywork. But he had to bail because he got too busy at work!!☺

  • Pretty cool. Would make a nice resto some day. Sure are expensive projects though. My favorite mustang is the 67 fast back, like the one in the movie gone in sixth seconds.

  • @IHcubcadet Yeah I like the fastbacks too!! They sell kits now that you can turn a coupe into a fastback!!☺

  • WOW hope you didnt get ripped of man lot of money you put into this rebuild man but hey at least its not junked

  • @ranchero302me We didn't get hurt too bad, but like ya said. At least I was able to keep it outta the junkyard for somebody else to finish!!☺

  • Could have been a neat project.....An expensive one, but neat one! So, someone from Englad bought it....Thats awesome!

Hopefully you at least got what you put into it back out of it.

    Great vid bud

  • @mbyr31 Thanks Matt!! We took a little bit of a beating, but I have too many other projects and really need the room more!!☺

  • Does it run? Anyways very nice car you got!

  • @lllllll5s Yeah! It runs real good, but I didn't have a battery to start it!!☺

  • Man thats a rare stang bro.good you didnt crush it.To bad we couldnt here it run. Thanks for mentioning my name buddy you just made my day

  • @200mmonster No problem Buddy!! Hopefully ya get a few subs outta it!!☺

  • I bet you're saying Thank God that's gone..

  • @231flash You got that right!! I got too much other crap to work on!!☺

  • How much did you sell her for?

  • @jasongiddensviper478 Got $3600 for it!!☺

  • nice car! would make some room once ya get it out since it just been sitting there

  • @BrittanyNicole1990 Yeah! it will be real nice once it's finished. I just got sick of lookin' at it!!☺
