  • Sound like Chris Pirillo

  • Jon4laker N Chris Pirillo COMBINED!!

  • It's not a phone it's the new Samsung Portable TV right pocketnow?

  • i've got one question pocketnowvideo : are all the phones , who you revieuwed from you

  • I don't think I would be able to live without this application. It works wonders on my Desire HD. I like keeping it at 130 DPI, which is a bit on the extreme side but after a while, you do find yourself lowering it and lowering it as you progressively become more familiarized with lower DPI settings.

  • Hey guys its BRANDON EMINEM...notification shit...lol, but its a great video ;p

  • that affect the speed of the gpu?

  • that affect the speed of the phone?

  • That's a great topic to make video about, but the way you presented it is amazingly weak. Only thing you've shown is a launcher (in which only icons become smaller) and a broken Samsung dialer that couldn't resize itself to a new density. You shoul've shown i.e. browser or other apps, where you can read a lot or something like that to really show users what's this about.

  • Hey guys its, Brandon eminem... Lol

  • Haha.. Brandon.. Tefuvdad hg aasghbbg..

  • Would this work for tablets running android?

  • Doesn't higher dpi result in a better display tho?

  • The Galaxy Note is not a phone. It is a hybrid between an Android phone and an Android tablet, hence the humongous size.

  • Awesome suggestion. Im trying it on my htc hd2 now.

  • galaxy note is awesome tablet or phone but it does lose to GS2 in terms of real life performance becuase it either gets stuck or resarts as in short unnoticeable reboot but the performance is good but I wonder why can't I install NOVA on it but it did install some good titles say asphalt 6 andrealine , NFL pro 2012 free and GTA 3!!

  • Best screen resolution for galaxy s 2 i9100 is 200dpi imho.

  • he seems tobe a gay... :0

  • @samboygsm Takes one to know one.

  • This actual would be useful for when I mirror video form my phone to HD tv.

  • Not very useful on the note...

  • That is one big ass phone

Brandon looks like he should be in the twilight movies

  • That, is not a phone...

  • @pocketnowvideo I have that same phone in the USA how u like the note...PS best keyboard for it I find is thumbs keyboard...I love my note

  • I changed to 100 on my 3.5 inch wvga phone :D You can't read anything

  • Epic top comments :D

  • I dont get the idea

  • Ur so hot....chuck

  • I have a g2x and mine is set to 960x576 which to me is a perfect resolution. Not to big not to small

  • Can anyone please tell me if this causes any pixelation? Thanks.

  • @MyStillRemains Yeah it does, I did it when the program was first released on my HTC Desire and it made some apps permanently stuffed.

  • @LinkinParkOz Wow, so it just makes things smaller, it doesn't actually modify the pixels so that video quality and overall quality is improved?

  • @MyStillRemains Yep, hit the nail right on the head.

  • Great app , let's you see so much more on screen, thanks !

  • android notification shit lol

  • Why are all the comments from people who are checking this guy out....=/ keep it to yourself.

  • So... what do you say now... iPhone users?

  • @LKodiak Not to bash on the iPhone, but yeah, it's 960x640 resolution is starting to look really low, lol.

  • @williewillus1220 you are making my point, you increase one to increase the other or decrease one to decrease the other. He was "decreasing" pixels per inch to "increase" resolution which is a contradiction and hence confusing.

  • @xrellix So if I want things to look sharper on my phone, do i need to go left on the slider or right?

  • I don't get it..you are reducing the ppi to increase the resolution?

  • @xrellix No, resolution means how many pixels fit on one edge. By increasing resolution, you are increasing how many pixels fit in a square inch of the display

  • Will the Galaxy Note work on T-Mobile 3g?

  • Not funny at all

  • are you using a launcher in the beginning?

  • will this work on tablets?

  • i dont know how to use superuser icon ?

  • i have samsung infuse i think its rooted it has superuser app icon what can i do with it ?

  • @jayr122001 you can install superuser without the phone being rooted. try an app like titanium backup that will tell you if it is actually rooted.

  • @aeneashasvowels i have infuse 4g it have a superuser icon but i dont know what it is my sister did it to my phone, she said i can customize my phone with it but i dont know how? its rooted already

  • @jayr122001 superuser just allows programs to get access to do the crazy stuff like this screen resolution app. superuser doesnt do anything on its own.

  • @aeneashasvowels i open supeuser icon it says no app in list?i cant really understand how to use this :(

  • What would you recommend for the T Mobile G2?

  • Which case are you using on the Note? and is there a similar case available for the S2(sprint)

  • Your agenda's kinda sad... haha.

  • I love the android notification shit

  • what about if i did it on nexus s?

  • I used to have an android, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • UNLIMITED POWER

  • it doesnt works on LG Optimus 3d/go launcher!!!

  • this is another LCD density changer

  • Htc desire/ go launcher/ 230 or 220. Don't go any lower than that.

  • I love the wall art you have up in the background. The grey shapes are very modern. Where did you get them from?

  • The Note should be 320, because 320 is the Android standard xhdpi resolution. This is important because any decent app makes all it's drawables by these standards. Changing it will screw up most apps for this reason.

  • 190 on htc thunderbolt looks amazing

  • i have a droid x and im stuck in a bootloop after rebooting!!!!

should i pull my battery and try again

  • Nice video, thanks! Also thanks for the market tip! I was wondering why some of my apps don't want to install now (but they actually did before). That was really helpful, keep up and have great holidays!!!!

  • my screen is 240x320pixels I set my DPI to 113 (from stock 120) and I got better experience ;] (all other sucked, but I am glad that even one is working to this LOW resolution). I believe the effect would be better on larger displays and also more settings would work as they should ;] cheerz

  • I really wanted to see if the pixel was lower! XD!

  • Works on HTC Dream (G1) with Cyanogen 6.1 :D

  • @breznk yea i remember that....3 years ago!!!

  • Android powerrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • It doesn't work on xoom ICS.. :(

  • Working on my galaxy GIO

The Default Resolution was 480*320 now i have changed it to 600*400

  • thanks i can use on my samsung galaxy gio wow

  • @zakyou2 yes but i found one problem, and can't find solution to it.

On my galaxy gio. when i change my resolution to 128 dpi. or 600x400 pixels.

there is a force close to all incoming and out going calls, which is really annoying.

And after the force close you even can't able to check that call in your miss call or receive call list.

I also tried to use the touch pad dailer.

    and full screen caller id.

    but all fails.

If anyone have solution so plz pm me.

    Thanx in advance

  • @waqasleo17 i changed 130 dpi and its work fine

  • @zakyou2 I also tried this right now. but i get the error. while i make a call or receive a call. the error is

The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. please try again.

  • @waqasleo17 i never try to make a call while im using 130 dpi. i'm using default 160 dpi i just try once yea some apps like player pro music not work.

  • what about 854 by 480?

  • For me, I have to revert to my default HTC Desire resolution to update some apps (240DPI) - otherwise I get an incompatibility error on the Market app.

  • the star of the background look like dying pixels :)

  • that phone is almost the size of your head :o

  • i set my galaxy nexus to 160dpi and it turned into tablet mode

  • there's a butt on your chin~

  • I tried it on my Tmobile g2x and it's quite nice if you change it to 180 :D

  • A shame we didn't see how it looks when in the browser and other apps.

  • been doing this for ages, without lcd resolution

    htc hd2 runnin CM7 @ 167dpi (Y) going well so far lol

  • It's density not resolution. It forces more in the same space, you can't increase more than it was made to support from the factory.

  • What's the agenda widget on the Galaxy Note? I know it's part of LauncherPro, but is it also available as a separate widget?

  • Samsung Infuse 4G 180 dpi.

  • changes the density. not the resolution

  • what about nexus one or xperia play

  • I may be one of the only people to like it. It really does make you realise how big the screen is. (SGS2 in my case)

  • I don't see how this is fun but ok

  • whats the wallpaper? i love it =)

  • "More stuff is on the screen..." Nope, the icons are just smaller and harder to hit...

  • for Android market to work and sgs2 to look great try 160dpi.

I've being using this since months on my galaxy s2, at 160Dpi market works perfectly.

Thumbs up so others can see

  • @kaare1992 Read what you said...

  • @DarknesSxLDS HAHAHA! Fail :D Oh wow, i dont even know what i were thinking :D

  • When Brandon and Joe make a video tell your girlfriend, mom and dog to shut up, because they always give helpful tips

  • Very cool. Love android.

  • hey ! u look like evan bourne in WWE :D

  • This is a bullshit video, he says you can change the actual number of pixels! Obvs, you can't. You are just changing the DPI, the DPI is the way that things look, as in it acts as if it did have more pixels, but you don't just get more pixels. Stop making stupid videos Pocketnow. Unsubscribed.

  • Comment removed

  • @mmatus09 Is that right, well thanks for correcting me. My understanding was the DPI was the displayed PPI (rather than the actual one), but if you are correct, I stand corrected, still won't make watch another pocketnow video.

  • Could you please name the Launcher you're using with the Note?

I'm using ADW EX but it's LAGGY with WXGA Res..

  • @DarknesSxLDS thats launcher pro buddy

  • @METALsyndr0me Ahh,,, k thanks :)

  • *NOTE* Best dpi setting for phones with 4.3" display is 180, 200, and 220.

  • I use LCD density and got my S2 on 192 dpi, this is the best for the galaxy S2 since things don't get blurry jet. Also I'm running CM7 on it I've found that AOSP rome handle lower dpi better than samsung roms

  • Brandon says SHIT at 3:43, haha

  • @raasinator Yeah he did.

  • does it work on the htc wildfire ?

  • @ThespaceboundHD it works on the LG Optimus One, so it should work on the HTC Wildfire also. I have it set to 130 dpi.

  • @xblade981 thanks! i will try it out

  • and whats the name of live wallpaper?

  • You need root?

  • This will affect performance correct?

  • @GetPatriotized I can only assume so, you are basically changing the most important part of your phone (Its Screen). That can only lead to performance lag, and incorrect finger judgement by the phone itself.

  • i am the 1st viewer

  • @dkgangsta97 FAIL.....

  • you can also download LCD density or edit the density manually in the Build.prop

  • Shweet brah. Thanks a lot! :)

  • Works perfectly!!:D// ZTE BLADE
