nope the subs were in perfect condition except for a scuff on ones surround.

They subs were wired in series each to get them to 4 ohms each, they were then connected to the amp in parallel which would technically be 2 ohms, but the ohm ratings are never exactly a whole number or what they are rated. My DMM said that at the amp there was a 3 ohm total load.

They are both 18w3D2's D2, standing for dual 2 ohm coils. Dust caps were in perfect condition.

Amp was seeing about 3 ohms and JBL says the amp will do 1114 WRMS @ 2 ohms.
