If you notice, he loses the grapple several times and even gets his beatings pretty badly by Earthquake near the end, so how can anyone say it's a set up?

I too, have spent many an afternoon at the stand up arcade version playing this incredible game. This and Superstars were always my favourites. Also, I had a weakness for almost any pinball game too.

Ahh, the MEMORIES!!! I spent many an hour and figured out most, if not all moves, combo's when to, when not to. The stomach thing tends to happen when you have given a crippling move that does more damage than usual. For example it is highly unlikely it is obtained from mere punches/kicks, but perform as suplex, double axe handle, etc and it can occur more. Of course this is mere speculation of countless hours of playing the game :-) Shame you cannot play online, lol that would be AWESOME! :-D

You've obviously not played Wrestlefest for any period of time, as all these are quirks of the game.

I win so many grapples because of quick fingers, Jake stands still because he's trying to attack someone in a grapple, selling is all over the place anyway, I'm not sure what causes people to hold their gut, but it's always seemed random to me, you'll also notice certain moves sometimes come out early for the CPU, most notably Demolition's finishers in Tag mode and the Perfect Plex.

I cant get the level difficult change to work. I have mame 32 0.112u4, and my interaction window looks slightly different to your one. I have a dip switch option like you do, but its not labeled easy, medium, hardest ect, its 1-4. I tried changing it to difficulty 2 (by default its on 4), and it never took effect :-(

I have a match with Earthquake and a Japanese wrestler back in 1990 when the wwf went to Japan.

It was pretty good and Earthquake even a cut a promo after, cussing out his opponent and said he'll be back.

I don't remember his opponent though...

The pinfall option is because of Ted DiBiase and Mr Perfect, who don't have the bodyslam move.

The announcer is Michelle 'Mike' McGuirk, who would sometimes substitute for Howard Finkel, the WWF's longtime ring announcer. McGuirk worked as a ring announcer for the WWF between 1988 and 1993 before she left because, occurding to her, she refused sexual advances made upon her by WWF owner Vince McMahon.

Does anyone know if you can buy a 4 player arcade game like this one, and then add another game board to it? I am interested in buying both crime fighters and wrestlefest. They are both 4 player, and it seems like a waste to buy both sepereate.

You SHOULD be able to, the version I played on was a converted 4-player sega cab, from a game I don't know, the only info I have is that it was 4 player, each joystick corresponded to a character, and each character's name was on the stcker around the stick & buttons.

I have also seen a Turtles Machine converted to play Wrestlefest 4-player, but have no idea what (if any) work you need to do.

Right, just had a check, and you'll need to add atleast 4 more buttons to a crime fighters cab, as wrestlefest NEEDS a dedicated start button.

I'm not sure if it's possible, but you MIGHT be able to fit a crime fighters into a wrestlefest cab, But I know Konami use weird harnesses for their games. so I'm not sure about the possibility of that.

Very nice, you made this look easy. I've been able to get 10 eliminations in Royal Rumble pretty consistently, but have not yet been able to get that 11th. Quick question, what program are you using to record the game with sound? I am very interested in trying it because it looks like it worked well.

I'm using growler guncam, with the "what u hear" option.

Growler is free, but comes with a 14 day trial, after that, any outputted videos will have a watermark on them, so set your PC cock back to when you installed before you output to AVI, and it'll work like a charm without watermarks.

Cool. I used Guncam to create some Wrestlefest videos, but the gameplay was somewhat choppy and the program seemed to have a lot of bugs (like stopping recording by itself for no reason). I guess I'll try it again with different settings. Thanks!

That'll either be your RAM, processor, or HD space, I have a 2 gig processor, 768 of DDR and around 5 gig of free space...

also check running processes, and disable stuff you don't need.....

I installed it again, and changed around some options. Decreasing the fps captured from 20 to 15 really did the trick, it works pretty well now. And your clock trick did work! That's funny.
