Awesome video! I agree that Toguro is above Sensui in terms of ultimately fulfilling the villain role. I think you should do a video next on Aizen, Tobi, Freiza, Blackbeard and even The Major from Hellsing who I think is a deadly as well as scary villain.
I just got done rewatching the rescue yukina arc and the entire Dark Tournament for the 4th time and everything that you said man was on point. I personally believe that Toguro never forgave himself for what happened to his students at the hand of Kirin. When he went to train in the mountains months before the tournament he probably thought that in order to defeat the monster he must become the monster.
@Mcwhirlpoolinc and him going to Limbo was to repay his students. In short I believe toguro became a character of inner isolation. What everyone else saw was a shell. Togashi does however give hints at what he was really thinking.

The romance between him and genkai, the fact that he was at first a hero, the fact that he planned out his whole death. His life was really a tragedy. We don't really know what he wants. Honestly, I think he became a demon to try and fill out the emptiness he felt by the loss of his friends, and possibly to punish himself for failing to protect them. Toguro is so intersting because his sense of responsibility is extreme.

I think Majin Buu might be the best villain ever. The reason I think this is because he reminds me of the joker in way. He doesn't need a reason to do what he does. Other villains want power or to be immortal, but Buu just kills/eats anyone he runs into.

The only time he showed any intelligence at all was after he absorbed people and gained theirs. But then again, he was the ONLY dbz villian that could actually get stuff done, so he was a good villain in that sense.

I agree Toguro character was FUCKING complex, how he turned his human body into the S-class demon cuz he blamed himself for his 4 students that died, he wanted to take the blame on himself and wanted to die and EVEN when he died, he told Koenma that he wants to take the biggest punishment, EVEN in fucking death this nigga still wants to punish himself badly, TOGURO WAS COMPLEX TO THE MAX.

@budokai2k you might want to watch yyh again there were a few villians in yyh that were truly evil one was the elder toguro the other was yomi who wanted to rule all the worlds and threaten to kill kurama family by having a demon crash the airplane they were on if he didn't help him and in the beginning the guy rando who tried to steal genkai powers and murdering people to do it.

I like Taguro he was a good villain. he was a badass villain with good characterization, you're right he was a mysterious character. I felt sorry for him because he became a villain due to unfortunate circumstance. But Deep inside he was a kind hearted person.

What if he wanted to spend all that time in limbo because he couldnt live with the monster he has become I mean he betrayed genkai, killed his brother, and became the demon that killed his students. Maybe in his own weird way he was seeking redemption through yusuke by having him be his only student who killed the demon from who originally killed his first students.

That was great I always thought he was bad but I never realize how deep he was. I have a few for u. Cain from Trinity Blood, Knives from Trigun, and Harry MacDougel from Trigun. Three cunning, smart, ruthless villians. All three are great animes. Have u seen then and what is ur opinion about then King of Lightning.
@animangamant Harry is from Gungrave, not Trigun. And I liked Legato a bit better than Knives, but yeah he's still a pretty deep and interesting villain.
