i have noticed that i lost a whole flipin months worth of data because i was new to this! i couldn't believe apple did it, it seems like a massive typo and we have to pay for it.
the most concerning thing i think is that apple have released a number of updates but some how havnt seen fit to correct this.
Hi there, I'm running Leopard 10.5.6, and in time machine preferences, it says 'warn WHEN old backups are deleted' I wonder how that is different to 'after'.............I don't know if it ever said 'before' but I understand it nows says 'after'................which is not good!! someone in development have a brain fart?
I'm running Snow Leopard. When a backup attempted to run without sufficient free space, I *was* notified of this before the previous backups were erased.
Wow, thank you for the warning!
Didn't discover this change myself... Really weird thing of Apple to do.

Another vulnerability is that it also doesn't have the firewall enabled by default, either, good video :)

Leopard gives you the option to abort a backup if it is going to overwrite old backups. Snow Leopard lets you know after the deed has been done.

That is so bad. makes you wonder....
