Strange Signal responses using the Minelab GPX5000 Metal Detector

Hey Rob, I really enjoy your videos. You explain things in a way that makes them easy to understand, and you get to the point without being douchy like some videos I've seen. My question is are you using Apex picks in your videos? I use Hodan picks for hunting downtown lots in Phoenix and ghost towns. The Hodan is a great pick, but I don't think it will handle some of that bedrock. Also I'm a Roadrunner, using the Goldbug Pro for now, hoping someday to get a GPX 5000. Thanks, Jeff

That's the normal sound for a larger bit. The sound you should go by is by how clean it sounds before coil overload. A smaller nugget on the surface makes the same response. All comes down to when in doubt dig your target no matter if your getting trash. I have found nuggets masked by trash, and even a time a nugget had a small bit of trash sitting on it. Strange sounds come down to experience.

not every signal is good, some of my best finds have been bad targets and i dug them, great nugget.
