Some else I know has a 3GS with ATT ,said there was a software update or something that fixed this battery hog issue. If I'm running email, bluetooth, facebook it's pushing data in the background killing the battery life. I get maybe half a day or a little more before it's got about a 1/4 of life left. Any options for that ? Only other complaint I have is if someone mms' me a photo from any new photo, this iphone 3gs won't see if if they pic size is bigger than what this phone shoots. that sux.

How do you find out what the highest version of software is that you can run under T-Mobile. I took my phone to a store before I saw this and had it unlocked to T-Mobile. (3GS-32GB running 3.13 (7E18) However, it looses it's carrier sometimes and someone else made mention about in their iphone you can specify the carrier and stop it from Searching.... for the carrier. I end up having to turn off and back on again for it to pick up a new signal. And the battery strength sucks too.

Useful information: for other networks, like Vodafone, Orange and stuff, you want to:

1. Reset your iPhone

2. Put in your SIM

3. Start jailbreaking

4. unlock your SIM by typing in your PIN code.

THANK YOU SO MUCH so awesome.! i spent 5 hours on other websites and videos this is THE ONE to help me finally unlock it (iphone 2g 4gb on 3.1.3 firmware!) you helped me 1. activate 2. jailbreak 3. unlock the phone.. all without the SIM.. it was nt working on other sites / other videos. i downloaded the files from this video and that helped A LOT. it helped me do all 3 things above... follow his instructions, he's awesome great iphone genius!
