My wife and I chose this as the fanfare for our wedding dinner in Kuala Lumpur, which was done in the tradition of a modern Chinese wedding banquet (as my wife is a Malaysian of Chinese heritage). The fanfare marked the entrance of waiters perfectly poised and wearing traditional Chinese samfoo silk blouses and carrying the trays of the first course. to the 15 tables of wedding guests (small by local standards). It was a remarkable, uplifting piece to play and that moment was spectacular.

This song always reminds me of the movies Beyond Borders and Earthlings. :( I once saw a beautiful video dedicated to the relief workers around the world using this song and clips from BB but it was removed by YT. -_- The images in your vid are much less painful to see. ;)

I first heard this song in SFDebris's review of the premier of Farscape. It fit so perfectly, I'm shocked they have nothing to do with each other. That is a complement for both this song and Farscape; both are beautiful and their beauty works perfectly together.

Don't tattoo it to your arm. It's not even correctly formed. "we will draw near" has to be "adibimus" or rather "appropinquabimus".
