What a load of bollocks, nothing like the 1950 rock n Roll/ rockabilly scene. Link Wray and Gene Vincent would turn in their graces to see this fairy rock n Roll
@motorvating I opened for Link Wray at the Henry Fonda theatre before he died in a Rockabilly festival called the Hollywood Showdown. I had a chance to show him this video, he dug it. death to all the shitters in the world, including you.
@motorvating dude, this is a promotional video for a live stage show, it's not a movie, or a documentary. It's a touring show. Sure, no one, no how is ever going to be as great, or as exact or as raw and real as the originals... but at least someone is attempting to showcase it live to new audiences. And everyone that's seen it live, loves it...including the anal snobby Rockabilly folk.
That would be 1983, so from the age of 16 to 25 I was a Rockin DJ and putting bands on stage.
If you want to show something that is relevant to the youngsters nowadays, then play something they can associate with, like the latino bands on Wild records playing in CA
Someone's bin a watchin far too much Hollywood n Show Musical BIG B.S. - Bud never looked, sounded, or acted anything like this crap, and as for boppin chick TV camera operators in the macho Rockin '50s - if they were lucky they might have been backstage humpin groupies. No offence, just facts, not myths !
You guys rock! It is hard to reach the old athmosphere with the contemporary eguipment and the impersonators usually hold back on the feeling to sound authentic... thus loosing the rockin' feel. You were different!
I saw this show in Mackinaw City Michigan and it was incredibly produced, entertaining, clever, full of talent and totally enjoyed by the audience. The performances were beyond imitation, they captured the spirit and the soul. You really have to see it live. The Video is good, but with the live performance it is an incredible non-stop amazing experience. It was a rare collection of talent and spirit. I'm confused about the critical posts. Obviously there are people with personal issues out there
and for some footage without microphones, twe wanted to look that way on purpose because when you watch a lot of the old footage, there was an overheard microphone up above that you don't see... type in Elvis Dont Be Cruel and you'll see he's not using a mic
Like filming most movies, the actors lip synch to themselves to get more camera angles and that way the audio doesn't change. The musicians you see in the background are on the actual recording and are definately real and we lip synched to ourselves singing it. We would've loved to do it absolutely live but the sound is clearer this way and it's expsensive to rent lots of cameras so you shoot it over and over to get more camera angles, just like a music video.
i really liked this ricky nelson guy I mean he did't looked like nelson or sound but he was the only guy who wasn't faken anything. And jerry lee tried it but didn't get it and I hate elvis impersonators. You have to as a real fan
@lancelipinsky hope you are in good health!!! such hostility, commenting 2 years later.,did you take a deep breath and calm down? no need to cuss that is for an uneducated mind. ,con amor gracias aurora

Great performances by ALL involved, especially Dean & Lance. A great video well thought out, filmed and clipped together. It captures the essence of that great era. I´ve learnt from it too. Well done!
WOW ! That was a riot. Well I almost didn't watch cause 19 mins seemed like a long time but then I decided to watch a few minutes and check it out. Before I knew it it was over. I even watched the credits. Admirable job !

@lancelipinsky
So what???? all that means is that he liked the video; he was hardly going to say what a load of bollocks was he?
What this lacks is the raw violent edge that Rock n Roll should have, thats why I would call this pansy rock n Roll with lots of fluffy stuff.

Not a musician in the entire group, ain't it like a joo to steal someone else's work and claim it's his.
Look Mom, no microphones or even guitar wires!

Hey Lance and Dean Z!!
An OUTSTANDING JOB!
A Real 10+ show!!
You two young men are the NEW MONSTERS of Rock and Roll Impersonators...not to mention that talented young lady in your video!
No one else (that I have seen or heard about recently) is doing this level of act without "Huge Pockets" backing them!
Keep up the fine work and TCB'ing...Lance, I hope to see your act again (in Gladstone) this year with Justin!
God Bless you.
With My Best Regards,
Elvis Ray
