I agree that they should flee and Petra may indeed be a temporary place of safety, but Petra is not the place that Yahweh has prepared for His Elect. It is in Isaiah 33. Pay particular attention to what is described in verse 16. In verse 17, The King is Christ, King of kings, our Master. The land very far off is Israel. Study a map and fully study Isaiah. Do you believe Christ will gather His Elect and they will "stand" before the Son of Man, who will also be standing on 2 feet?

If you truly want to understand all that is written is Revelation, then you must do this. Revelation 7 says to hold back the opening of the 6th seal until all of God's servants are sealed. Why is this? Because just as in the days of Noah, God Himself told Noah when to enter the Ark. Christ told us to Watch and when we see these things know it is at the doors. The "ships" shown are "vessels of believers" (Gentile Churches) over the "seas: nations, languages, peoples, tongues". The "merchandise" are souls. Merchants" are the "traders" of souls because they are not truly part of the kingdom of heaven. They are concerned about the earthly things. The City is a Spiritual City. This is incorrect. The Second Exodus was called for in the middle of the 7 year "tribulation", the START of the Time of Jacob's Trouble. It is then those in Jerusalem will see the Abomination of Desolation occur, once the 2 witnesses are risen and give testimony above. There is a "harvest" before the 7 year period, and another just before "spiritual winter": or the time of Desolation. This is why Jesus says: "pray your flight not be in winter."

Incorrect. The Wheat (Gentiles) are gathered into the Barn at the Harvest. The Tares are left in the "field" (world) to burn (in heaps). The Fall Harvest is the Choice Vine (or the Remnant), for the Bridegroom left the "best" wine until last as shown prophetically in Jesus' (Yeshua's) first miracle at the wedding. If you do some research on the dates, Paul did not say LAST trunmpet, he says at A trumpet call. He couldn't have been referring to the last trumpet as in REvelations, because revelations was written by John years later!

I don't think Petra is even mentioned in the Bible. It would be too small to accomodate an exodus of this magniture IMO, not to mention it could be so easily targeted militarily.  Micah 2:12-13 describes the place instead as Borzah. The mystery of Borzah is still sealed but will be revealed as future events take place. Just my opinion.

This is a specific prophecy about Judea and Jerusalem.

However, Bible prophecy does address an earlier case (maybe 10-15 yrs earlier) where the people of Yahweh must flee from disaster.

"Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the Lord's vengeance; he will pay her what she deserves. Babylon was a gold cup in the Lord's hand; she made the whole earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; therefore they have now gone mad." Jeremiah 51:6-7
