Those cars are designed to handle extremely well, and your taking a heavier car with a bad weight distribution and trying to bolt on some suspension parts to make it keep up with a purpose built race car? Im not saying that its impossible, but 9 times out of 10 a European supercar will outturn a Muscle Car.

In terms of Non-US cars being better in terms of performance, I'm talking about from out of the factory...

I currently drive a Megane 250. It's a little 2.0L Turbo hot hatch with 250bhp but it would beat any muscle car on a proper racetrack, sure, a big charger would beat me in a quarter mile, but a drag race isn't racing, a lap around the Nurburgring, that shows what a good car is, and US cars always get abysmal lap times.

@chrisjamster im in mexico and roads here arent made for those other cars.... tuners get stuck, the suspension cant handle it and they overheat easily.... euro cars are the same as the tuners....people here usually use SUVs or anything with the power to handle the conditions....here we dont really drag race we're usually racing curcuit, dirt tracks, and drifting....all using american muscle....

@CyberGTX09 You're saying a "turbo supra" will beat a muscle car with a naturally aspirated, beefed up v8? Even with a turbo, the supra will still struggle to win a drag race. A big block v8 with an aftermarket cam/heads/intake setup will surely give it a run for its money. Those are all basic mods, but a setup like that will easily put down 500-600 ft-lbs of torque on mild compression, without power adders. If you go further, a super stock 426 hemi will go 9.0 seconds flat on a warm-up run lol
When it comes to mods, the only thing that matters is who's pocket is deeper. The 2JZ engine in the Supra was the greatest 6 cylinder engine built during the 90's with a great potential. It can also hold a minimum of 800 HP on a simple configuration. A fully built Supra is scary man. Some of them, like Ryan Woon's Supra have gone up to 8 seconds or maybe even 7. No nos, but it's crazy boosted.
@CyberGTX09 Yeah i've seen twin turbo supras go 7's in the quarter, amazing for any inline engine configuration really, but when it boils down to it, a larger-displacement v8 (especially an aluminum block v8, they actually weigh less than the 2jz) has more performance potential than any other engine design. I've seen 8.2 seconds at exactly 160 mph from a 1968 hemi Dart super stocker. I've seen a few hemi barracudas go mid 8's @ 155 mph as well, it's still a jaw-dropper though, even for me.
@DeAdiSSu3 You referring to Ray Barton's 426 Super Stock Hemi Dart that Red-lines at 9,800 RPM with 2.02 valves, and makes 1020 HP from a NATURALLY ASPIRATED( No Nos, or boost), and holds a world record for the fastest super stock. His car is a REAL LO23 car. Less than 80 were made. Probably as fast as a ZL1 Copo Camaro, but Chrysler didn't need to develop an aluminum block. Simply put, Chrysler's 426 powered Darts were/ and still are the greatest Muscle car and drag car of all time.

Those cars are designed to handle extremely well, and your taking a heavier car with a bad weight distribution and trying to bolt on some suspension parts to make it keep up with a purpose built race car? Im not saying that its impossible, but 9 times out of 10 a European supercar will outturn a Muscle Car.

I currently drive a Megane 250. It's a little 2.0L Turbo hot hatch with 250bhp but it would beat any muscle car on a proper racetrack, sure, a big charger would beat me in a quarter mile, but a drag race isn't racing, a lap around the Nurburgring, that shows what a good car is, and US cars always get abysmal lap times.

First of all, horsepower doesn't mean a whole lot, it's pulling power that makes the car go, and another name for pulling power is TORQUE. But the potetal power from a big block muscle car is way way more I've known v8s to put out over 8000hp. @CyberGTX09 You're saying a "turbo supra" will beat a muscle car with a naturally aspirated, beefed up v8? Even with a turbo, the supra will still struggle to win a drag race. A big block v8 with an aftermarket cam/heads/intake setup will surely give it a run for its money. Those are all basic mods, but a setup like that will easily put down 500-600 ft-lbs of torque on mild compression, without power adders. If you go further, a super stock 426 hemi will go 9.0 seconds flat on a warm-up run lol

When it comes to mods, the only thing that matters is who's pocket is deeper. The 2JZ engine in the Supra was the greatest 6 cylinder engine built during the 90's with a great potential. It can also hold a minimum of 800 HP on a simple configuration. A fully built Supra is scary man. Some of them, like Ryan Woon's Supra have gone up to 8 seconds or maybe even 7. No nos, but it's crazy boosted.
Stock or not, a fast car is a fast car.

@CyberGTX09 Yeah i've seen twin turbo supras go 7's in the quarter, amazing for any inline engine configuration really, but when it boils down to it, a larger-displacement v8 (especially an aluminum block v8, they actually weigh less than the 2jz) has more performance potential than any other engine design. I've seen 8.2 seconds at exactly 160 mph from a 1968 hemi Dart super stocker. I've seen a few hemi barracudas go mid 8's @ 155 mph as well, it's still a jaw-dropper though, even for me.

His car is a REAL LO23 car. Less than 80 were made. Probably as fast as a ZL1 Copo Camaro, but Chrysler didn't need to develop an aluminum block. Simply put, Chrysler's 426 powered Darts were/ and still are the greatest Muscle car and drag car of all time.

@jetplane12 My 69 Charger has been two 210 mph before on the freeway, and it's a naturally inducted 528 SixPack hooked to a 6spd Tremec with a Dana 60 running 3.75 rear gears. The stock 69 Daytona did 205 from the factory with a 4 spd, tuned with the Hemi it came close to 244 mph. Owned

it says you are 15 years on in your profile, so i bet you havent ever seen a charger in real life. (except in video games). Daytonas never did 200mph or even close factory stock condition. stock Daytona HEMI can barely do 135mph. while NASCAR versions are then quite different story, they could hardly reach magical 200mph mark with the help of a 600hp HEMI engines.

So the guy on the bike fkd up his launch. They both go really fast in a straight line. So what. Lets see that Charger on a decent track and see how it keeps up to a superbike.... these cars vs bike posts are really useless. who cares about these big ole goofy cars anyway. My Skyline will smoke it ;)
