@Daintytwinkletoes You push and pull your feet in and out. It is hard to explain. I know there is another how to spin video on the net that is way better than mine. If I find it I will PM it to you.
Man your videos are the bomb! I live in Texas and go to multiple rinks every week to jam out. I saw that some of the move you did were all in the same that I can do at the rink, but some struck me as really cool so I'll have to try them out when I get a chance to stop by the rink. My favorite move of all is the Grapevine because it requires steady footing and concentration! I'll be checking out your other videos! Keep up the awesome work!
Very nice skating. How many years have you been skating? I've been skating for about 14 years and started learning to do all kinds of tricks in Feb. 2010. My friend has videos of me on his YouTube. (NOTE: videos aren't the best quality or to the best of my ability.) His account is Raver1144 if you care to see, I'm in the lime green (work) shirt.
@xx2391xx Yes I have. There are a lot of good JB skaters here in Texas. Most have mad crazy spins. Its like a requirement for JB around here to have crazy spins.
Wish mine were like that but I do not spin much, never really practice. Something I need to work on though.
What basic things do you need to learn before you start jamskating. All i can do is sideways skate, backwards skate, and forwards skate. I'm not very good with balance though so what do i need to do to practice that...
@raleojay I recommend learing the crab walk. It helps a lot with balance, coordination, and pivoting. Also start skating on your toes and heels while skating around the rink. Practice shuffling them one ahead of the other to keep momentum. That should help with balance. You can also just practice skating on one foot and wiggling that foot to keep momentum. You can also just practice standing on one foot on carpet. I will send you a pm of some things you can do.
Cheaper but still awesome - Bones Reds/China Bones and Qube 8 Balls
More expensive - Bones Swiss, Bones Super Swiss, or Qube Golds.
Ceramics are nice but really not necessary.
Stay away from Abec rated bearings. That rating really does not mean anything it is just how that bearing is rated by the person who makes it. You can have a Abec 9 and a Abec 7 rated bearing and they could both perform the same. Just depends on who is rating them.
You have the best tutorials on YouTube. Please don't stop. I will subscribe. I'm love to jamskate but the only difference is I use rollerblades. Is it possible to show how to toe-heal spin and toe-toe spin on rollerblades. You have the best explanations and I feel I will finally get the spin on rollerblade if I heard it from you. I will work on skating on my toes of my roller blades. Ouch.
floor needs a lil bit of work. i like concrete too but i prefer hard wood... has a lil bit of cushion when you fall haaha. the place is up in Mt. Airy NC its called Starlite Skate Center. Be nice to have some people to drop by. We have our own jam skate team now since Team Vanilla came out. maybe you can come out sometime and show us a few things :)
There is a place close to my families lake house that has a concrete floor and it is amazing. Even though it is a bit ripply it is very smooth is places. If i'm ever in the area I will stop by :D lol its a bit far.
ye the only thing i like about concrete is i can slide around :) i got Claw wheels from my Rock GT50's and they got sanded down nicely and like i get to slide around for fun haha then i got a set of scribble wheels that use for racing
Close. Tony Zane, Reactor, Backspin Scribbles, Bones Swiss, Jam plugs. Thats just in this video though. I have a lot of wheels and bearings. Also have a 395 Boot with a Proline with QUBE Gold Swiss and soon to be Backspin Lite wheels.
That would be Scooter. Maybe I should introduce him in a video lol he has become quite the little celebrity on here lol everyone send me messages about him lol.
How do you spin? Not juse the arms, but can you explain the foot work?

Do u think it's easier to learn toe toe spin first or heel toe spin first?
kojidomoto51244 3 months ago
Do I have to take off the breaks to do the toe toe spin? Or should I get other type of roller skates?
CarolineS801 3 months ago
I'm just learing to skate backwards, but i just can't seem to do a crossover. I fall every time I try. Could it be because I'm short?
