  • I think this is awesome

  • very kool

  • Love it!! Great work, inspires me to learn more!

  • just curious, what school did you attend to learn this?

  • Nice Job! Finally someone that is creative and don't copy all videocopilot things!

  • Hi, Jeremy. Really like ur work. Give me a lot of inspiration. Can u tell me how to make the stormy cloudy effect in the earth zoom sequence (01:20)? and how to make fade in video effect like in the minute of 02:06? Tq for ur info.

  • sorry to annoy u dude, tell me u've made this just using after effects? or u've got some other program to create for example the Bible... thanks

  • Nice work brah. don't limit yourself to aftereffects though, i see potential in other areas! You'll be more desirable learning other crap. Real simple 3d will supplement your work greatly, as the planes in 3d space are visible in a few shots.

  • very nice work, check out mine, I've already done my 2010 demo reel, I'm more into night clubs and stuff like that

    love youp lightning effects

  • I really like your sense of depth, which is something I lack in my graphics. I can also see you really like the use of light. :P

  • GORGEOUS work.

  • jercasper, your work is amazing. Ive seen your work on TV without even knowing it. I salute you. I hope to work with powerful artists like yourself in the future. Did you use a lot of expressions on top of all the plugins used? 5/5. Keep it up! Had to comment to the author as well...your work made my fingers twitch. SICK!

  • Brilliant video!! Very inspiring - five stars!. I'm just starting out editing as a hobby and am considering buying Adobe After Effects - would CS4 do this sort of thing or should I buy the full Production Premium package?

  • @sallyb17

After Effects is a MUST to do this . . . as well as AE's "plugins," (sold separately by Red Giant) (Trapcode Particular; Shine; Lux; and only Casper himself knows what else)

The Premium package has lots of cool stuff though : )

  • @sallyb17 I am a hardcore 3D guy but I always lose myself in time with After Effects. I agree with Loren on other third party applications. Also, expressions in After Effects is a lot easier to work with when starting off. Later you will want to learn Java and make your own scripts. Then 3D wont be so complicated to achieve if pipelined in AE correctly. Makes a world of difference in your output in work. Id recommend the whole Adobe Suite. Also, look into MOCHA for AE. Best of luck to you.

  • ur vid=BESTwhich is y -->some can't understand poop compression,Sir

LOVEtheVID.VERYinspiring& we love use of CS3 "per character animtion" featur(but what's with the compression?)suxz (no offense)

    (plzConsiderRe-loadAfter"squeeze")

    either way,

    weLOVEcasper~

ps, sorry for "public" comment -- youtube changed since we last logged in . . . so wasn't sure how to write back to your last comment : P

  • i don't know where you have applied but , Your Hired!!

  • Hi Your work is beautiful. At 1:28 how did you get your angels to glow the way they did. I use after effects and photoshop too.

  • Thanks for the kind words! The effect was done using a plugin that's been around forever, but it's still one of my favorites!

    TRAPCODE SHINE

  • sweet, i'm looking into learning all these programs on my free time. excellent job!

  • wow..ur my idol!!! here in philippines. only few artist has similar to your skills.. just wondering. how do you imagine the attack on every reel u made??is it a pure talent? can i gain ur skills even just practicing 24/7?

  • WOW ~ jeremy that is awesome!

  • Wow! Very impressive. As a guy who's teaching himself just as a hobby, I certainly have a new respect for those in your line of work. Lots of patience, skill, and passion is obvious. Good job!

  • Holy s*it! Im so jelious. 5/5! How long youve been working with AAE? You learned yourself, or youre in school ? Awesome.

  • Was this done entirely with cs4 or cs3?

  • let me rephrase that. did You any program aside from anything included in adobe creative suite

  • this entire reel was all done with photoshop cs2 and after effects 6.5.

  • Wow. I have these tools and they're just collecting dust. Man, I am so under using PS and CS3.

  • @jercasper Only Affter effects and photoshop? you didnt use premiere??

  • @crashproductions95 Yes, that is correct. All the effects (and even the editing of the reel and the addition of the music) was all done in After Effects.

  • Wow its amazing!!!!

  • THAT

    WAS

    SO

    AMAZING!!!!!

    that is inspiring.

  • Awesomeness. great job!

  • I noticed that you used Andrew Kramer's sure target preset for the newspaper segment. never thought of using that along with actual video. Cool.

  • not familiar w/ the sure target preset... probably would have saved me tons of time... the sequence you're referring to was PAINSTAKINGLY animated the old fashioned way.

  • Good motion graphics. The pace and cinematography is right on. I use after effects when ever I can in place of 3d. Faster and just as impressive in most cases. Keep it up!

  • a fantastic presentation, i am speechless

    U ROCK

  • Awesome!!! :) What's the song?

I really really like it :) hope some day I can make something like that :D

    Hugs!

  • 1 question (since you're 1 of the best animators) ~

At :10 seconds you're spinning 6 shape layers on the Y-axis; from a "top view" the layers look something like this: /

    ---- /

Those layers are NOT perpendicular and DON'T look like this: |

    --- |

Are you then painting a 2D_layer to create the coolwhite blobs?

  • aW work!!!

  • Love the reel! Very dynamic and versatile work here. Check out my demo reel and give me some feedback if you'd like. :) Create on!

  • nice work man :-)

  • mmm do you consider mm a tutorial?

  • Bravo!

  • Jeremy,

This is awesome. I hope to start my training on After Effects very soon -- for similar projects as yourself! So good to see a talented guy like yourself using incredible talents for good.

  • This is truly amazing. I always wanted to do something like this. Whats the program that you use? Or anything close to it that I could problably get from somewhere like Best Buy.

  • L337EE, the program used here is After Effects. You cannot get it at Best Buy because it is more of a professional program. It costs about $1,000. Boris FX, which I used for many years, has many (but not all) of the same features and can be had for around $300 or so.

  • cuddu sticchiu!!!
