I don't have an official answer. Given the policy of prohibiting people crossing the road/trackway, I don't think they will put a platform there. The center lane will probably remain for emergencies. Police, security, supervisor, and maintenance vehicles have been seen using it on many occasions.
I would have preferred it to be a center platform arrangement (darn buses) but it's too late to change that now.

Do you know what will become of the center lane once the Transit Tunnel is Rail only? Is it wide enough for a platform?
