I grew up on the same block as the (now condos) Blues Saloon (on Conti & Burgundy streets in the French Quarter, New Orleans), where Luther Kent performed regularly. As a small kid, I used to hang out backstage to watch them perform whenever I could (way too young to be out with the patrons in the bar!). Late 70s, early 80s.
Luther sounds as strong as ever. He's an amazing performer live!
