Not sure if this is better then your point and shoot but it could just be the lighting. I am not happy with the quality of my Sony DCR-SR200 that I have had for a few years I recently shot a few vids for my channel and am looking at getting a better camera.
I love having dreams about my cameras. Haha. I liked it a lot. The quality is pretty good. It is a little close, so I would get a higher tripod, or what not. My tripod is like 4 feet tall. Haha. So that's what I use. My Canon HF11 WILL NOT get far away when zoomed out. I have it 3 feet above my desk unless it's an app review.
It seems like they are the same. Audio little better. The flip has a cinematic yellowish tint. I would go with this one because the colors are more vivid.
Yeh stick with your camcorder larry,muchbetter quality,and i agree,getting yourself a higher tripod position would in my opinion get you a much better angle,or even better a combination of the 2 (Camera & Camcorder) might be a viable option as well on some video's ?
not worse actually i just compared a couple videos and its seems a tad bit better so it all depends if the upload goes well but if you want i can research some really great cameras for you just tell me your price range ill be glad to Larry. :)
i also use a similar cybershot to shoot my videos and i have the same problem its a real hassel to take it off the tripod when im done shooting the video
im just that way with my sony camera, the tripod thing is on the bottem, i hate having to take it off then put it back on

Yep! This new camera has the memory stick slot on the top. Never have to remove it from the tripod.
